According to the local journos round here we got about £2.5m from a sell on fee when Gunn moved to Southampton and we pretty much just sent that to you for a loan fee and wage contribution. Without Gunn moving we wouldn't have been able to afford it as we've had to cut costs pretty drastically...
Looks like we're signing Tim Krul. Obviously he's struggled since his injury a few years ago but he has to be better than McGovern and, after taking a good look at him in pre-season, the coaching staff have clearly decided that Remi Matthews isn't good enough for the Championship.
You mean best kit we've ever had surely?
We've got a pretty good away kit this year as well, hopefully we continue the trend of the last 3/4 seasons and release a ridiculous third kit as well.
I think our aim should be to be in the play off conversation. Not necessarily get there or even be in the top 6 at any point but just be one of the teams that people are talking about all season. That would represent an improvement on last and evidence that we're moving in the right direction.
Leitner was off the pace last season and had a couple of injuries, not sure we saw what he's capable of but he flashed moments of brilliance. Think it's way too soon to say if we're building anything decent. So many ifs and buts about the squad at the moment.
Looks like Ivo Pinto could be off...
We've signed Felix Passlack from Dortmund on a season long loan. Was on loan at Hoffenheim last season but struggled to get regular games in their first team.
We're really not. We've been in mass cost cutting mode for over a season. The Maddison money is largely going to cover a shortfall from the huge contracts we've given to players like Naismith and Matt Jarvis.
But will they cost Trump popularity? Or will they galvanise his support against, what will be portrayed as, foreign powers acting unreasonably against America standing up for itself?
My worry is that it's more likely to be the latter.
