I think Armstrong is smart in one respect and a worry in another.
I don’t think he’s a bad striker just badly out of form and joined wrong club at wrong time.
It is a loan he can maybe go elsewhere get new confidence and possibly come back a different player.
But on flip side we are a club...
I’d still not rule you out, you still remind me a lot of Carlisle in 2000/2001 when Ian atkins dealt with all the same off field type of crap Adam’s has and worked on nothing for ages and is looking doomed.
But you have one thing on Carlisle and I’d say tranmere and that is ‘unity’ a united...
We are hard to play against………unless you go one goal up.
Then any sensible manager just sits hit team nicely in their own half not taking gambles and just watches the opposition a goal down constantly passing the ball sideways and backwards for the entirety of the rest of the match never...
My dad has kept telling me that the sinking ship mentality of the last 16 months and constant defeat and negativity has brought out some right nasty pieces of work, not many just little clumps mostly younger fans who seem just to attend to spew venom at anything constantly fuelled by the...
Another awful home result for Curzon although the performance was good it just wasn’t to be.
I don’t expect a title challenge we are too poor at home for it just have to aim for top 7 then anything can happen
I think any Carlisle player is hard to judge really.
On paper you could say the entire lot and total and utter crap, have been for months, have terrible morale, poor attitude and lack passion and fight……..results suggest it.
But on other hand it’s a vipers pit at present, I’d say you could...
Now that Carlisle have finally learned after 5 months how to pass……I’m trying to work out if we have enough time left to get out the tactics book on learning how to cross and shoot, I’d hoped we’d worked out passing by mid October but it’s just taken a little longer than hoped.
I am not fussed about relegation it happens and teams have ups and downs but the thing you do want is some hope……that things can turn itself about.
My biggest issue here regardless of anything is that we are so utterly boring……and heck I live in Manchester cannot get there much and mostly have...
It’s team instruction, I would honestly say Williamson would take relegation and the sack ahead of maybe going 4-4-2 or shoving a defender up front and going long etc etc
It is why he should have been sacked 2 weeks ago and got someone else in, to be in deep relegation sh*te and have a stubborn...
The problem is the signings have maybe yep……made us a little smoother, yep maybe we make a lot less mistakes, the heads don’t drop as quick.
But we create hardly any chances we don’t at all look dangerous, we don’t look like we can score and we also always look like we will concede a goal at...
Most Carlisle fans I think are relegation battle hardened.
Therefore this spells maybe three months of unity I’d say for Williamson where they know only chance is to now back this manager and team however hated they are.
It’s his only real period to prove he can improve side for next season...
If they are utter determined to keep Williamson and his style I suppose this isn’t as such fully about survival, moreso about getting squad players who play the style and spending the next 3-4 months getting them to gel click and see what is needed in summer.
Where it may backfire is if it’s...
I don’t understand the hope with Crowley, he’s 27 had 13-14 clubs only played in dribs and drabs for the majority of them and realistically has been dropping further and further down pyramid as it goes along.
Just suggest a short term fix gap that will lead to him dropping down another level to...
I completely agree with you and it’s why I’d ditched Williamson after the tranmere game and plan more longer term we missed thst
Chance last season
I think we are gone personally but that is mostly down us having absolutely nothing to suggest we survive.
Manager is doggedly sticking to...
If Carlisle lose this one you could say the football gods have deemed it we have no way back as mentioned it’s written we never win at Bradford and they never win at Carlisle.
I like the Carlisle approach this transfer window reminds me of the old days of championship manager bidding for 15...
The Carlisle owners had two options at present either
A: spend craploads of cash removing that 10 odd man coaching set-up and find a short term old head manager to try and steady the ship
Or
B: spend craploads of money replacing the entire side because after 4 months it’s proved none of them...
Now THAT is finally the type of signing which may steady the sinking ship.
An experienced centre half who may at the very least organise the mob into a unit.
He maybe isn’t cheap but if he can help restore a bit of sense and passion into the side it may be best money spent
