Stone to me felt like the reverse lower league prototype, we all get conditioned to accept the ‘good shot stopper but bad distribution and handling types’ and I always felt like Stone was maybe the least effective shot stopper I’ve seen in my entire life as a Notts fan (he couldn’t really dive...
I thought Grant was good again, feel like Notts fans have been conditioned to think a 10 has to just drop deep and make lots of passes and turns in his own half, he allows us to play forward, makes runs from deep, wins the ball high up the pitch…just think he desperately needs a goal or...
How are we 2nd?!
That was awful, flat for 90 minutes, missing Palmer massively. Didzy’s worst performance in a Notts shirt, Jatta not far off himself despite scoring. We lack any real pace on the counter, teams can just push up and press us as much as they want,
Tsaroulla a million times...
Always makes me giggle when fans talk like this - he’d slap Cook’s big bald head and wave tara at him if someone like Bolton offered to double his wages, no matter how much of a good little boy he is who doesn’t hit Chesterfield’s non existent nightlife
Michael Reindorf joining on loan, Notts fans predictably furious that we’ve not dropped hundreds of thousands on a backup striker. You’d think they’d learn after the last ‘inexperienced 19 year old on loan’ we signed was George Abbott
Does sort of feel like we’ve rolled the dice on Jarvis...
Agreed we weren’t outright poor, things didn’t look ‘right’ but I think you probably have to credit Bromley for restricting space and slowing the game down.
I do think there’s something though in us bemoaning 2-3 missed chances in so many home games, Jacob said this last week I think but we...
Fucking atrocious from all involved. Arrogant walking football and arrogant in-game management.
Maynard will never learn will he - back to inverted wing backs, think we’re entitled to ask if he’s simply just a fucking idiot
I’m not sure they are, they disappeared from the club before Barrow took Whing and Taylor went to Solihull - so either Wealdstone have been planning on sacking Taylor for weeks anyway and they’ve been on gardening leave or something else has gone on.
Jatta not being good is the most scorching take of the season I think.
Jacob’s point about us manufacturing striker production does have me morbidly curious though, maybe we’ve unlocked a free money glitch.
He’s good, looks a natural goalscorer type (even though his record in PL2 is a bit underwhelming) that needs to improve the rest of his game, always tough to project someone that’s only played PL2 though, it’s basically kids football
Very poorly, Millwall was a terrible move really, doesn’t suit him at all and he’s been in and out the side all season but I’ve always suspected he’d struggle in the Championship anyway so I don’t think it’s entirely circumstantial
Just needs to come home - plenty of hugs, kisses and goals here
I don’t listen to that podcast but what makes the guy such a trustworthy source? I know he used to be involved in the club but I can’t remember any other transfer gossip coming via him.
I think I’d be happy with a young striker on loan to be honest - my algorithms aren’t as advanced as Football Radar’s but Joe Gardner at Forest is the type I think would be perfect for our situation, although I’m sure King Richard will find us someone like that but better.
