About a foot of snow in Derby this morning. Presumably Notts is the same.
It’s not going to melt before the weekend, so I guess it depends on if they can keep the roads clear and safe. The old bill will no doubt have the final say.
We need to get back on track. Too many draws recently.
Need to win all our remaining home games to be honest. Tonight would be a good start.
2-0, Vydra and Lawrence.
Someone will be sent off for the dirties.
I went to Swansea on a Tuesday night about six years ago.
Got back to Derby at 3.00am, as we had to make a long stop at Strensham whilst the driver had a break.
Never again.
At the risk of sounding precious, I think 1,800 isn’t bad for a Tuesday night, rearranged at short notice, and £33 a ticket. It would have been significantly more if on Saturday.
Took me two hours to get home by car and yes there are trains (one only at 23:15 and that’s a slow one) but...
1,755 sold in advance.
There did seem to be a few paying on the gate too as we went in. Maybe 1,800 in total?
Took me two hours to get home from parking at Wadsley Bridge. M1 roadworks, A38 shut, M1 shut at J25. Nightmare.
We've sold our initial 2,200 allocation for Reading on the 24th. Another 400 now on sale.
It's only £20 for season ticket holders, but it's still Reading - not the best of away days.
We're due at Hillsborough fifth round day, so I am going to be cheering Reading on in the fourth round.
Going to Sheffield to a re-arranged midweek game would totally kill a good day out I look forward to each year.
5,489 Rams at Man U last night.
In other news, we've been given another 700 tickets for Birmingham next week, taking us up to 3,500 which is nice.
Unlikely to sell all of them I'd suggest, but you never know.
Birmingham next weekend sold out.
2,800.
How come Leeds only had 2,400?
Some ridiculous allocations around in this division. Our plod are more than happy to give anyone who wants it, 3,100.
Absolutely no doubt exaggeration to say we could and should be 5-0 up at half time. Murdering Ipswich, only poor finishing and some last ditch blocks saving them.
It's so got a last minute equaliser all over it.
Cracking numbers that for saying it's on tv.
Mind you it's not too far, accessible by train, and a bloody good day out. Bit like our game at Fulham last month when we took about 3k.
The Mick McCarthy parked bus versus the Gary Rowett immovable object.
Five clean sheets in a row for us. Seven out the last eight.
Got nil nil written all over it this one.
And yet, I have a sneaky feeling this could be a decent match for my first visit to Portman Road for 30 years. Looking...
McLaren was great as a coach with Jim Smith, back the 1990s. He then went to become assistant to Alex Ferguson at Man U, and again he contributed towards them winning the treble.
That's the crux, he's a very good coach. But once he's put in a more managerial role he has mixed success.
For...
