Bolton? That was our first Saturday away game this season. Best part of 1,700 iirc.
We're a funny lot. On our day, we can turn out in massive numbers. Better than nearly all in this division.
But when it comes to doing fair numbers on a consistent basis we do fall down a bit.
I guess 10...
Scoring after 24 seconds. I mean does it really get any better than that?
Forest had good possession first half but never really looked like scoring. We were better second half, and didn't think the final score was anything but deserved.
Happy days.
3,145 Forest at Derby.
It's a shame they aren't as generous with away allocations. And we even allocate them two pubs. Notts plod are rather less than accommodating to us.
Leeds are charging us £37 for a Tuesday night at the end of the month.
Ridiculous pricing.
I'd be interested to see what the average number of away fans at Elland Road is. Must be less than a thousand. You'd think they be looking at it and thinking "perhaps we're charging too much".
Had a great day in Bristol yesterday.
Some cracking pubs, good beers, and a very nice city centre.
I actually thought we were decent value for our half time lead, notwithstanding the couple of good saves Carson has made. Not a great first half, but ok.
Second half was different again. City...
1,532 Derby suffering at Ashton Gate yesterday.
Odd figure as allocation was 2,048 and there were only 180 tickets left at Friday 5pm. Presumably 300 or so decided to stay in the pub or summat.
Looking forward to a good day out in Bristol. Some decent pubs for pre and post match crawl by the looks of it. Haven't been to AG for about 30 years so looking forward to seeing the changes.
We've sold just over 1,800 according to our official site. No potd.
As for the game, we made 11...
Poor, but not totally surprising at £32 a pop, a poor start to season, three away games next week and no bloody trains to Horwich again.
I'll be there, train via Wigan. Will probably reach 1,400 or so after last night's victory. Won't be anywhere near 2,000.
Deserved win that.
Preston were hard working and organised but didn't really show a lot in the final third.
Only a couple of good saves and some last ditch tackles stopped in being three or four nil.
Penalty was a bit odd, but Preston were warned about holding, pushing and shoving by the...
Can't imagine it will be any more than 700/800.
Four away games in first three weeks probably means Grimsby in the pointless cup will be the one most give a miss I am afraid.
We've had a £7m bid for Tom Lawrence turned down by Leicester.
They paid £1m for him 3 years ago. He's played 4 games since.
Greedy Premier League bastards. The world's gone mad.
Move on Derby FFS.
I love all away days.
Some grounds are good, some are bad, some a bit meh. But, it's about the day as a whole surely? An early start, full English, get on train, bit of a chinwag with mates, arrive around noon, seek out some decent pubs, chinwag with the locals, bit of snap, 90 minutes of...
What you will find next season is that most grounds in the Championship are unrecognisable from what they were even ten years ago. There are lots of new builds, a lot where 2/3 stands have been replaced.
The old style stadiums have pretty much gone in the top two divisions.
I don't blame you...
