Fairly happy with Rhodes and Vickers, it definitely helps with our lack of depth in attacking areas and both come with proven ability at this level, obv Rhodes is 34 and no longer the deadly Championship striker he once was but scored 15 last season at this level.
A tad worried we are light...
Solid is what I would use, sometimes he worried me but I suppose most do at this level, no idea how much he’s improved since, maybe not played enough. It was a long time ago.
The stand does look impressive but will give that lopsided feel you get at Walsall, Stockport, Woking, Tranmere (and Mansfield but from the side :D)
A stand behind the net with that capacity will look good and imposing still.
Caylan Vickers from Brighton, previously linked to Real Madrid apparently. ‘Highly rated’ alert :D
Genuinely though, Reading fans rate him, had to sell due to the money issues.
I agree you can’t argue with it now, but the potential is to pay the price for it down the line.
It’s worth millions but it’s going to cost you several more just to compete, financially the most difficult league for you lot will be the championship, you will be throwing more of your overall...
If it’s just for depth this season ie a loan I have no issue, if it was permanent then I would be concerned.
We are in a situation where we’ve got two really good L1 strikers in Evans and Gregory (both double figures already) then it literally drops off a cliff, I would argue our 3rd and 4th...
The first fifteen minutes was dominated Adam, lest we forget.
The only positive to come out of this is it will probably push the club to actually spend some money!
Half time we are comfortable 1-0 up against bottom of the league who are also down to 10 men, so to capitulate, which is very unlike Mansfield under Clough suggests something is seriously wrong. No idea what it is mind!
We’ve now lost and deservedly so to three teams in the relegation zone with...
We go straight up after and it’s cleared off the line about three times, it’s all happening!
A Shrewsbury player just faked a head injury, soon as play was stopped he got up, stuff like that really does need sorting out with severe punishments, we looked dangerous on that attack.
Lee Gregory is giving Shrewsbury defenders fits, got one sent off and another is on a yellow and only one challenge away from a red himself.
We were all over them in the first 15 and got an early goal, which looked offside to me unless I missed someone. After that Shrewsbury improved post fake...
