To be fair we are on a bit of rubbish run of form at the moment. Speak to Northampton or Shrewsbury fans we extremely good against both. Apart from 2 efforts Bolton hardly had anything against us. If we took one of our chances in the first half against you I think we'd have gone on to win...
We can't keep missing glaring chances. Too many recently is costly us. Kamara guilty of 4 in the last 2 matches, all one on ones that he managed to much up. Bishop 2 or 3 over xmas. Whyte one on one with the keeper v Fleetwood. Saydee should have got the winner v Bristol Rovers. Lane poor touch...
With Regan Poole out until next season and our backup RB Swanson out until March. I think we will be in for a CB who can play RB, Yengi out in the Asia Cup until end of jan, first 2 weeks of feb we need something else upfront. Also we may be in for an attacking midfielder due to again injuries...
Another big test for us. Cheltenham no longer the cannon fodder they were when we played them at the beginning of the season. We have struggled against really well organised defensive sides this season. Hopefully Monday will give us a boost. If we get a win regardless of the teams below us...
Lets hope we haven't expelled all of our energy and focus Monday v Bolton. If we start like we did v Northampton last sat we should get a good result, although Shrews will probably be abit more defensive minded which we normally struggle breaking down
We had this against Blackpool. 27 unbeaten then bought down to Earth with a bump then 3 games in a week, beat Burton away then comprehensively beat Northampton who were on a good run then you guys. It'll be how your team react will tell you alot. Doesn't make you a bad side losing once.
I still can't believe he missed it. I was hoping the lineo was putting his flag up and just thought he'd scored and not celebrated. Potentially would have changed the game, but apart from the blackpool match we've not lost when going behind since Barnsley away in March.
Huge weekend for us and Bolton considering the fixtures. If either Bolton or us win, with Oxford playing Peterborough it could give one or both of us a bit of a gap to third
Would be happy for any of your lads to stick in a few tasty challenges to the Bolton "first teamers". Would even it out a bit before Monday as we'll have 3 first teamers out.
Any player that was crap when he was with us will score against us 100% - Owen Dale for all his industry couldn't hit a barn door and scores with the wost scuffed volley for Blackpool.
Joe Piggot was not amazing for us and struggled to score, did against us in the efl trophy the other week
And...
We've had Norris pull off some late late saves this season. Bazunu was the same when he was on loan here. When we started hitting the post I knew it was going to be one of those days. We've all been to games where we've pumelled the opposition goals and not scored 3 or 4 and ended up a draw or a...
Gotta say we were really good today. Only Charltons array of last ditch defending, gk and cross bar x2 stopped us scoring 4 or 5. Chalton fair play almost sneaked it at the death. Ultimately 2 points dropped but can't be too down with the performance in general. Kept Blackett Taylor pretty quiet...
Put your money on an away win in that case!!! Although we are different animal this season. We've come from behind in 9 matches this season. Latest one we were 2 down at Reading and won 3-2. The team and the fans don't seem to let it bother them if we go behind, we just continue and have got...
Theres always something that goes against us playing Charlton. One year the ball had gone out for a throw in. We stopped then a cross came in which you guys scored from. The away game last season we had injuries and ended up starting with LB at RB and a CB at LB (cowleys wisdom), Pack being sent...
Richardson was up for the Pompey job, but he was getting a huge payout from Wigan which I think they stop paying some of if he went back into work. I think it was best part of a 3 year deal
Hoping for a nice Lincoln home win, just to give us a bit of breathing space as Bolton play their game in hand next week. Otherwise both side 3 behind us, then more than likely we get beat by Charlton (our one true bogey side) on the 11th, Oxford and Bolton win then all three of us are on level...
What a bizarre afternoon. Tennis balls oh the pitch threatening to get the game called off. 2 down within half and hour, unrecognisable at the back. Then we just turned it on and got one back through Anjorin. Then again sloppy at the back and somehow after going round Norris, Sam Smith shot...
We never seem to throw the kitchen sink at teams. We are a very patient side so far this season who prod and probe. Unfortunately we've a few got a few big squad injuries, most notably no backup wingers of any kind, Pack our strongest midfielder and captain, plus now probably the most consistent...
