    Stickied League 1 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

To me it seems like a few clubs per league making a splash whereas the rest are just plodding and letting the fees go down a little. We're due to be bringing in an estimate of 10 according to our manager and it's just the one so far.

    League Cup Round 1

We're seeded this time, so we'll probably play forest green and lose, but I'd be quite happy to blag our way through the first round a go out in a blaze of glory to a prem team like last year.

    Stickied League 1 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

Hadn't seen Vaughan mentioned and Taylor's scoring record is awful. Although we might be getting a couple of strikers hopefully we get a good combination

Very dangerous in the opposition penalty area, but also quite dangerous in his own. Good with ball infront of him but in trouble if he has to move. Sweeney came in from Stoke last season and was far superior, he's not good enough if we want to push up the league but did a job. Would be ecstatic...

    Stickied League 1 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

It's all relative, isn't it? I don't believe there is a massive difference between a lot of league one players, but it's well known with DC that he fits his players into a system and he's publically said exactly what type of players he wants this summer. One was an attacking central midfielder...

    Stickied League 1 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

Always struck me as a decent player, good record from midfield in terms of goals and a decent turn of pace. Can see him fighting out with Lines in CM, a position we're pretty stacked in now, with Ollie Clarke in the other slot and if DC is going after the 10 players he mentioned on the radio...

    The 2016/17 Promotion Thread

Good weekend for us, don't want to say it yet but could possibly push us into contention. Bristol Rovers vs Millwall last game of the season could become very interesting.

Contract extension. 6 years this time.

Are hand dryers more expensive in Swindon? The extra power needed to dry that extra digit can't come cheap.

No, there wasn't any left after dealing with your shower.

We've got a new hand dryer in the toilets as well!

I'm not a City fan, but being in the City and obviously having a sort of interest I have an opinion of him. There are definitely worse owners out there than him but i'd still say he's below average. He's done wonders with that Stadium, his main redeeming quality, it's admittedly an excellent...

Still too soon for that talk as i've said above. You'd think some would learn. I remember "winning" a ST just before relegation to the Conference. Okay, it didn't turn out too badly in the end but i'm pretty sure at the time feeling it would probably be comparable to "winning" a sexually...

But as we well know, announcement's mean nothing. We've heard it all before. We'll have to wait and see I guess. Reckon there's much truth in the supposed board meeting? If they don't get rid now, they never will. I can't imagine Lansdown running Hargreaves Lansdown this way!

Funnily enough, I think the attitudes of both sets of fans washes over the club at times. As funny as I found City losing last night, my focus was on the Millwall, Southend and Rochdale games. I found a lot of Rovers seemed focused on City. When we went down, it gave us the kick up the ass we...

The man your fans christened Dopey? I wonder what nickname that earns Little Lee. Honestly, I'm not one of the fans who automatically say "He wouldn't go there, he's too loyal", eventually he will go somewhere, but whilst I wasn't entirely shocked that Taylor moved, I'd be very surprised that...

City are really, really testing my will to not get my hopes up right now. I still don't think you'll go down, on the merit of there being teams that are just slightly worse than you. You've also got the possibility that Lansdown pulls his head out of his arse and sacks him and the players (who...

    Gas v Saaafend

Have to be honest, seemed very comfortable. Early goal really helped but even still there wasn't many times if it all we were threatened, even for a lot of Southend possession. Ranger looked their biggest threat when he came on but too regular hoofing the ball to him, fortune should never have...

    Gas v Saaafend

I'm confident, as any fan of a team with the home record we have over the last two/three years would be, but we can't keep relying on midfield goals. I feel we may need one of our strikers to score if we are to win, and that's our biggest question mark atm. So I'll go for a tight 1-1 that...

    Oxford 0 v 2 Rovers

I agree in that I think we would suffer somewhat if DC ever left, he's certainly the best Rovers manager in my lifetime and will go on to bigger and better things. We will then see the real intentions of the board and there has to be some doubts in this, even if you like them, because so much is...
