    Ground Improvements - COVID

I wish. No the ground is owned by the Welsh Rugby Union. Was a condition of the previous owners who funded the Dragons that Dave could only be sold to a "rugby" body, hence, why us, the council or anybody else didn't have an option to buy. That and fact that previous owners / Dragons owed...

    Ground Improvements - COVID

Ours is the same system as Wembley apparently. Machinery / system used did Stamford Bridge before ours this summer and is now on its way to do the Camp Nou. I guess we have shared the cost with the Dragons.

    Ground Improvements - COVID

Will have to wait and see. Dave should see less games on it this season. Dragons have fewer fixtures than previously due to reorganisation of their league. Rumours that the other rugby team (Newport RFC) will be playing their home games elsewhere. Plus Cardiff Blues will be playing at their own...

It's inspired by the city's coat of arms, which is actually gold and not amber.

League 2 in EFL Cup: Tue & Wed 10th/11th Aug

We did that v Crawley 3 years ago. Was one of the options to give priority to a ticket v Spurs the following week. Had almost 6,000 at the Crawley game as a result.

League 2 in EFL Cup: Tue & Wed 10th/11th Aug

Southampton H in round 2 is another good draw for us against PL oppo. Could be one for the TV - apart from Barrow v Villa, don't see too many other potential giant killings. Dave pitch should be ready for 24/25 August so fingers crossed we'll be able to give the Saints a warm welcome.

    Stickied League 2 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

I think most of us are disappointed his Newport playing days have come to an end. Is a bit of a legend and has been instrumental in recent cup wins in particular. Truth of the matter however is that his age is catching up with him - he’s lost his goal scoring instinct not just his legs. I was...

Fair enough, you saw him much more than me. Remember him having a good game against us last season and 40+ games in a league winning side bodes well. We needed a midfielder and hopefully Flynn can get a tune out of him.

    Pre season friendlies

Lost 5-0 to Llanelli last night in Welsh League Cup. Took Ladbrokes to the cleaners as they didn't realise our development squad would be playing and offered 10/1 for a Llanelli win.

Isn't this season a max of 20 players aged 22 and over plus as many U21s as you want? We have a squad of 18 grown ups and 4 U21s so far.

We haven’t started selling our STs yet. Still waiting for Drakeford to give the green light. Club must be awash with cash.

Azza was ok - remember seeing him bag a hat-trick up at Bury. Think Danny Rose scored for them.

    (Potential) Starting XI’s

Signings so far look to be steady - Norman, Clarke and Upson seem solid enough. Not so sure on the others. Keepers and defence sorted. Midfield needs strengthening, wouldn't be surprised to see Amond play deeper behind the strikers now his legs have gone. Could do with a proven striker - Watters...
