I'm still amazed that the fans haven't turned on Dale, surely most with even an modicum of knowledge about football can see that the way he is running the club is putting its existence at risk...mind you, he rarely stays to watch all of the game, usually gone way before the final whistle.

From conversations yesterday it would appear that Dale's financial state is somewhat uncertain at the moment, despite appearing in the Times rich list, his latest ex-wife is intent on getting her share of his fortune...and has apparently stated that any donations he makes to political parties...

Very true, but if we play like we did against Stockport and are as cavalier with our passing as we were yesterday...and Mansfield rediscover their form...they could do to us what they did to Harrogate, that is what frightens me!

I think Grimsby are pretty much safe as far as us catching and passing them is concerned, they would need to lose all their games and we would need to average two points a game from our remaining four...I don't think either are likely to happen...another win for the fishy folk should just about...

Looking at the fixtures of the bottom four it isn't unlikely that all will lose today, even a draw for one might be considered a huge success...will it decide who goes down, probably not, but the confidence boost of just a point could be huge.

I think the club are doing special deals on our second and third kits...which probably indicates that they are due for a change. I'm not a betting man, but if I was, I would be tempted to put money on one of them being replaced with something looking remarkably like a Palestinian flag.

I just want the season to be over, so we know our fate...to bring an end to two dreadful years at our club...hopefully we can arrest the slide next season.

I'm amazed the fans haven't already turned on the owner...most clubs that have been run as poorly as ours over the last two years would have had fans protesting and calling for the board to be sacked...although, in our case, it is more of a dictator than a board.

The only way I can see for Colchester to get out of this is if they park the bus massively in their remaining games and grind out a point a game...that might be just enough to finish above our two teams, but it is a very risky tactic.
