You’re pretty much mirroring our first season back in a lot of ways really. Held on to a few too many of the National League boys, decent attack but let too many goals in, and unlucky with injuries. Another summer and you’ll be proper contenders next season I’d think.

This is pretty much my view. It perhaps made sense when it was a natural change between professional and semi-professional clubs, but that isn’t the case any more. No reason not to just make them all the same to keep a consistent flow.

Robertson is done for the season. Forgetting Edwards though, who is more natural in that position than where we’ve generally played him.

I wouldn’t have minded, but with Stone gone we’re down to two senior ones so can loan someone if one of them gets injured anyway. Probably makes more sense than bringing someone in just to put the cones out at training.

Yep I’m happy with that, if we were going to sell a key player everyone would’ve chosen Crowley, and looks to be plenty of potential in what we’ve brought in. Options in midfield are absolutely fine IMO.

I just don’t see this as being true. Someone like Evatt or Richardson would have their reputations significantly damaged in terms of what their next job might be if they took the Carlisle job until the end of the season and went down.

People at their end seem to think about the same, so around £250k. Big investment for sure.

Why would Evatt take it? Went a bit sour at Bolton but you’d think he’s plenty of credit in the bank to get a decent League One job.

Only signed for Fredrikstad for €300k a few months ago and has helped deliver a European place and the Norwegian cup. Must be pretty much all the Crowley money gone. Respect that we’ve worked out the way to success in this league is gigantic strikers and not puny attacking midfielders.

That’s basically relegation confirmed IMO. You either sack him a month ago or you have to give him the season, can’t let the guy sign a whole new team and then do it. Horrible from whoever is running things up there.
