    Arsenal v Chelsea - Sun 24th Jan - 16:00

I try to remain pragmatic towards sport, i.e. 3 points are available each match therefore they're all equally important towards our title chances unless we're facing Manchester City, or perhaps Leicester. There is the indeterminable and reactionary "supporters momentum" which in a vacuum means...

    Stoke v Arsenal

Good point at a good Stoke side, particularly given that we were missing two of the best players in the league and our starting midfield. I don't think Oxlade-Chamberlain in the Özil role was the best option. Joel Campbell is surely ahead of him in the pecking order now? Maybe Walcott, too. It...

    Liverpool v Arsenal

Fair result. It isn't a bad point with or without the context of other results, but losing the lead late with a chance to go 5 clear of Manchester City certainly stings.

    Liverpool v Arsenal

Nacho Monreal is a very good defender, so intelligent and composed.

    American Football

I've lived in St. Louis since I emigrated for Uni and decided to stay. I'm hardly the most affected fan today. It isn't the most glamorous city; a post-industrial question mark, one of the once-great American cities like Detroit, with convoluted local government issues, but it has a superb set...

Rams fan? Excellent. It's very tense in St. Louis right now with all the relocation talks. I just returned from Germany and it's contentious. Stan Kroenke isn't a popular man around here (he's local and owns hundreds of properties here, his real estate company is HQ'd here, yet he shits on the...

    Newcastle v Man Utd

I retract my previous comment in this thread. Fellaini, via spineless officiating and his own dreadfulness, has been the most entertaining part of this match.

A midfield with Schneiderlin and Herrera without Schweinsteiger, this might be exciting. *sees Fellaini*

    Liverpool v Arsenal

First match I'll be able to watch in weeks and we're going to drop points in a very depressing manner. 1-1.

    Van Gaal - Horny Manager

If anything, doesn't that support my point about Moyes and LVG? Worst ever 18 gane start for Manchester United in the premier league era. Besides, the league is nowhere near as weak as this cliche - the top teams aren't the pinnacle of Europe, sure, but top to bottom this is one of the most...

    Van Gaal - Horny Manager

Moyes never lost 4 in a row, but we have to take into consideration the very difficult situation LVG was put in. He will be departing Manchester United having put them in a much better position for success than fraudulent Moyes. :bravo:

I've been talking about LVG's philosophy being archaic for months, and it won't be unjust if he's sacked, but this squad just really isn't all that talented either. Granted, that has a lot to do with his failures in the transfer market.

    Arsenal to challenge for title?

8 games is a small sample size. In the calendar year 2015, 36 games, we've conceded 13 fewer goals. I'd imagine Kompany and Koscielny have played a similar amount of games in that time. Besides, we're talking about squad strength - isn't being able to cope with injuries part of this?

    Arsenal to challenge for title?

What do you disagree with, MM? This a Man City squad that finished four points behind us last year and is currently four behind us this year. Arsenal have not lost to Manchester City in the last five meetings. In 2015, Arsenal have 10+ more points, 10+ fewer goals conceded, and a better record...
