I think Allegri was trying the 3-5-2 one last time before Barca but, Pirlo aside, no-one was any good in Conte's old formation. Lazio are generally alright in the cup so I really thought they'd do it - good record against Juve and they've won it as many times as Inter in the last 15 years.

It's just Barca, Bayern and Real every year with the odd Atletico, Dortmund etc appearance. They are the three best sides in Europe to be fair but what's frustrating is how they conveniently avoid each other in the draw until the latter stages. The EL is where it's at anyway.

Just found out that the EL winners get into the CL from next season onwards. How does that work then? Do they take the place of a team from their league or does that league just get an extra representative?

I hope Lazio and Fiorentina get in. The CL race has been far more interesting and unpredictable for some time now, we haven't seen a decent title race since Inter-Roma in 07-08.
