We're away at Guiseley who have 4 ex Stanley players in their squad. Since being in the league we haven't yet lost to a non-league side so hopefully won't start tomorrow. Apparently we've sold nearly 500 tickets. Has FA Cup fever hit Accrington??

Mike Newell was coaching our first team last season - he disappeared for a while then he was seen at a game on crutches. Apparently he was pissed one night and fell down the stairs and broke his leg. He hasn't been seen this season and there is a new coach doing the warm ups etc

Our chairman has said it will be ready by the end of the season - it will be similar in size to the main stand opposite. If we can get a roof on the away end the ground will look a lot more appealing.

Delighted with the result and our start to the season. Not a good day for Carlisle with them losing and the fans getting soaked through. We should have put a roof on there by now. I believe Curle kept the players in the dressing room for an hour afterwards - did not look a happy man in the dugout.
