From speaking to friends etc I think this will be bigger than the last two years so that’s where my 17,000 is from. Newport probably 10-12k? At least the bottom tier will be full.

We quite clearly aren’t selling 45,000 tickets. 17,000 would be a very good following at these prices.

They did nothing over the two legs because we didn’t allow them to and but for wasteful finishing at times would have been a lot more comfortable. Much harder to do a high press against Newport though when the ball is in the air.

Met one of the officials on the way home, after slipping him the agreed £5k pay check I told him he did a good job. Bloke said Tranmere are by far the hardest working team he’s seen in league two, which is clearly our greatest strength.

If we beat Newport we will have a high budget in league one. Probably £3-4m, our non footballing income is ballooning.
