The only decent things about Newport today were;- 1) their keeper had a great game. 2) their manager was honest and didn't make the usual excuses and admitted they were beaten by a better team on the day. Newport were totally toothless, not one shot (on or off target) in the entire match.

yep, that's pretty much his level every week. We must have already scored nearly as many goals from corners as we did all last season. our last away game was a 1-0 win at Harrogate. Eccleston (the right back we rested yesterday) scored with a header from another Ben Jackson corner.

Just occasionally footballing miracles do happen.... Grimsby 1 Barrow 2. A bit tense at times 2nd half, but we held on for (i think) only our 2nd ever win at the fishy folk. Not many sides will end up winning at Grimsby this season, so a great result.
