Hollywood announce war on Trump SAG Awards turns into a night-long protest

Is Trump on to something? Potential vote winner for someone in Europe... (Does any Muslim even migrate to Poland...?!)

Here's hoping le pen dies in random car crash( the French election thread) and general European ting

Put a bet on Le Pen last week. Think she'll comfortably get into the final round. How she fared in the final round, not so sure. I remember in 2002 there seemed to be a real groundswell of support to ensure her father didn't win. Wonder if that will happen again?

    Yo-Ho-Ho or Bah Humbug!

Not going home. Spending Christmas in UAE and having a boozy lunch with some fellow colleagues who can't make it back. Feeling fairly indifferent about it this year.

Going to see it Thursday night. Tried to avoid any of the hype, but seems strangely muted this time?

    Turkish Premier League

The visiting fans were phenomenal too. Sang the whole match and were incredibly loud.

    Turkish Premier League

Apart from the main stand, everyone stood and chanted. Would be surprised if I ever heard an atmosphere/decibel level like that again...

    Turkish Premier League

So, made it to the Besiktas vs. Busrsaspor game on Saturday. Atmosphere was absolutely unreal. Everyone stood the whole game and chanted for the entirety. Made Ibrox look very flat and lifeless by comparison. The quality of football was alright. The final ball of each side was a little poor...

    Turkish Premier League

Is anyone here familiar with Turkish football? I'll be in Istanbul this weekend and planning on going to the Besiktas game. I've applied for and received my Passolig Card (which I'll pick up at the ground) and from there I take it I can simply load a ticket on to the card?

Here's hoping le pen dies in random car crash( the French election thread) and general European ting

Renzis gone. Further instability for the Euro likely with Italy's raft of non-performing loans. 5 Star Movement or Northern League likely to make gains in the next election?

Renzi to lose the referendum and step down? Austrian Freedom Party to become first far-right party in the EU? Could be a pivotal day for the EU.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/marine-le-pen-poll-election-odds-latest-french-presidential-lead-sarkozy-a7428126.html Does anyone have updated odds on where Le Pen is post Sarkozy?

Sarkozy out. A bit of a strategic error possibly, with a moderate centre right candidate eliminated? (Is Alan Juppe a more palatable right wing alternative to Le Pen?)

Here's hoping le pen dies in random car crash( the French election thread) and general European ting

I mentioned it in the US thread, but she was 7/1 over a week ago, down to 2/1 after Trumps win. The bookies clearly think it's a coin toss between her and Juppe. Why don't we make this thread about the forthcoming European elections from the Italian Constitutional referendum (4th Dec?) to the...

    US Presidential election 2016

^ Certainly agree with the first sentence. The Left have been particularly complicit in promoting globalisation, immigration, trade deals etc. to the detriment of the working class types they claim to represent. We're now seeing the political backlash from this. (From what I recall, voters in...

    US Presidential election 2016

Spot on. Europe already has guys worse than Trump inside the EU. (Building walls [or fences...] and peddling far more divisive politics than Trump could get away with). I don't worry about the US, it's got a strong economy and relatively high employment. Europe is stagnating, economies are...

SkyBet offering 14/1 for Clinton...! Looking at the projected outcomes is it that unlikely she'll win?

    US Presidential election 2016

Bush at least had a cabal of Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, Cheney et al advising him/de facto running the White House. Hard to see who Trump would turn to, seeing as he's alienated so many.
