Not totally hopeless for us. Always put a shift in, but to mostly limited effect. We've had worse loanees, but we've had a lot better. Good fun shouting "Don't tell him Pyke" after he mistimed a tackle and the ref got his notebook out.

Niall Canavan was with Dale a few years ago. Solid, reliable left sided centre back 95% of the time, an old school stopper. Has the occasional 'mare, and not the fastest, but on the whole a decent signing.
