Now you're just being facetious. Hemmings was our starting striker every game this season until his injury. His 'replacement', Thibaut, was starting games and having a big impact until his injury. Chris Long is an odd one since he's always bloody injured, but if he wasn't so likely to get...

It's the depth as much as the individuals. Squad depth wins leagues. I still maintain we'd have got automatic promotion last season if we weren't playing with 6 fit players and no bench.

    Saturday 16th November

We're not really. We're managing games better than we used to but most of the complaints were coming from salty Walsall fans who were just annoyed that they didn't beat us. It's no secret that Vale have the highest budget in the league, from the manager downwards, and a massive squad. We're...

    Saturday 16th November

As much as I'd like to stick one over Port Vale, I don't think we've got much chance. We're competing on very different levels with our bank balance and squad depth compared to theirs.

Enjoyed this though. From a Notts corner, and Tracey is in our own six yard box when we pick up the ball.

If it helps, we didn't think it was a penalty either. We didn't even appeal

    Saturday 16th November

2-0 win at home vs Notts County. A staggeringly straightforward result. There was only the last 7 or 8 minutes where I felt any sort of worry that Notts might put together something resembling a chance, and then our defense just sorted it out without much effort needed. Defensively we were...

    Saturday 9th November

Walsall - score for fun, play free flowing football, get aggressive in order to dictate play. Team sets up to stifle that - SHOCKED FACE. We went for a point, and we got it. Good job. It's a better point for us than it is for Walsall, and it was a good day out with a tasty game. Can't argue...

    Saturday 26th October

There's no chance we're getting 5 points from those games. Walsall and Vale will walk over us I reckon, unfortunately Vale especially. We can't compete with their finances and squad depth, like the rest of the league. Walsall are always a pain in the arse. Notts could go either way.

    Saturday 26th October

Fairly routine win against a shite Tranmere. As soon as we realised that the way to beat them was to never let the ball go above waist height, it was stupidly straightforward. They're all 6 foot 3+ cloggers so once we started playing our actual game it wasn't really difficult to score past them...

It's as good as nailed on though, let's be realistic. It is the way it is.

Burton and Shrews would be good to have down just for locality. With Vale getting promoted (to nobody's surprise given lower Championship spending in League Two) we need more local games back.

Great win away at Fleetwood, that I didn't see coming at all. Rode our luck in the first half with some mistakes and slow start gifting Fleetwood a few opportunities, but they weren't clinical and fluffed their lines. We made changes into the second half that completely turned the game around...

    Saturday 5th October

Superb win vs Gillingham with no strikers available - pure graft and tactically just the better team. Pressed them all over so they couldn't pass like they wanted to, reduced them to long balls and just dealt with them. Bell had obviously done his homework and we executed it perfectly. Lovely stuff.

    Saturday 5th October

1-0 up at half time against Gillingham. I'd say we've just about looked value for it, we're looking hard to break down and also riding our luck a tad. Could be a long second half, Gills have got to come out strong and I can see us getting tired with the pressing we're doing.

    Saturday 5th October

We're playing 0 strikers. Zero. Against top of the league Gillingham. Six defenders and no fit strikers to start the game. Can't wait for this one...

Up to 7th. I didn't see that coming after we got fisted by Chesterfield.

    Saturday 21st September

3-0 win at home against Harrogate. I was a little worried after their game against Doncaster, but I shouldn't have been. That was brilliant. Every player was immense today, but a special shout out to: Conway - kept his flank locked down, made excellent forward runs and looked very dangerous...

    Thursday 12th & Saturday 14th September

An absolutely turgid game of sod all but we won 1-0 away at Accy. Don't wait up for the highlights.

Oof this one has to hurt MK.
