Frustrating few games for us. Haven’t lost any of them but certainly left with the feeling of thinking we should have been doing more from them. Got about as tough a game as you can get in L2 coming up midweek now at Colchester who I think are right in the playoff mix now.

Tranmere got a nice little bounce since Crosby took over. They gave us a tough time last Saturday and seem to be backing it up and that’s a quality win against Bromley. Pleased for Crosby who is a likeable chap.

Our kryptonite really is playing against teams where the onus is on us to force the issue. Very easy for Harrogate at the moment.

We haven’t been bad and probed at times but credit where it’s due to Harrogate they’ve been disciplined at the back. Really need to force the issue more second half.

I wouldn’t worry too much on that front, we never batter anyone. Vale just aren’t built that way. If we’re fortunate enough to get our noses in front then it’ll be more about making sure we don’t get any injuries with a lot of games to fit in this month.
