Btw - hearing a lot on our forums about the ref being the worst ever seen here. And apparently completely one-sided (to Scunny). Now, doesn't often happen after a win. So, Scunny fans that were there tonight, what's your take on the ref?

Sounds like a hardworking performance. Our fans there reckon we were'nt great (didn't need to be?) but grew into the game as it went on and ran out deserved comfortable winners. Fair call? Or usual gobshoite from one-eyed fans? :bg:

Favorite Gills players when I were a lad - Brian Yeo & Alan Wilkes. Back then I was in awe of Utd's triumvirate of Charlton, Best & Law. Especially George. Internationally it was Pele & Cruyff that had the star factor.

You might be right there SSKurt... A lot of people on our forums saying a draw would have been a fair result too. But that tends to happen when your down the bottom. Luck is often against you. We've had plenty of "luck against" ourselves over the past seasons. Best of luck to your club too.

The term "winning ugly" has been bandied around our forums. Don't mind that. And apparently the loudest chants (only ones from us as well?) were "Oystons Out!" by the whole ground :2thumb:

Agree it could be any Joe, but from everything I hear about him, I'd be amazed if Houghton was left out. We are very, very lucky indeed to have him for 6 months in div1. Chelski will send him to the Championship in Jan I reckon.
