Charlton's number 11 looked a good player, mightily impressive display! Very relieved when you took him off! We robbed a point last night, very disappointing performance.

I'm happy for him to keep doing as he is, it's obviously something he's instructed to do and we actually look really comfortable to play it out from the back. If we just start hoofing it to the centre forward we'll be playing into the hands of the opposition.

I think the legend Van Der Laan possibly summed it up well last night. At Vale Park teams allow us to play it out from the back as they are afraid to commit midfielders too far forward to close us down. However when we're the away side, teams press higher up the pitch.

A good home performance with a couple of excellent goals. Build up play to the first was really pleasing to see, as was the counter attack/cross/finish for the second. The ref was awful for both sides and we'll all look at it from our own perspective, in my view the foul for scunthorpe's goal...

I thought last night we played football when we could, and dug in when we had to. Overall a job well done and another clean sheet where, bar one save in the first half, we kept 'dale at a good arms length away from goal.
