I support Lincoln, but Tranmere have always been my second team since the glory days of Ian Muir and Johnny King, when they used to play regularly on a Friday night and Saint and Greavsie would show the highlights on Saturday lunchtime. Imps - Tranny final would be great.

Given the state of the pitch I thought it was an OK game. Both teams faded after scoring, and I thought we finished the stronger actually. Not sure that was quite what we needed before a Friday game though.

Walsall have taken Max Melbourne on loan from the imps. He's hasn't had much game time, and I'd say could go either way - could turn out to be quite good, or not. Suffers from us having a lot of defenders.

We got there in the end at Pompey. We looked good when they had 11 men, but after they had a man (harshly IMHO) sent off after 30 mins they basically stopped attacking, and we just couldn't score. We had a few chances, but we score most of our goals in the last quarter so we just kept plugging...
