This. One of the few silver linings for me though was going to different grounds. Absolutely no chance I’d have gone to Oxford City, Chorley or Borehamwood otherwise.

Even though we got pumped, our trip to Stamford Bridge a couple of years or so back is one of my favourite away days ever. Early evening KO, which resulted in 5000 bladdered Spireites singing non stop for 90 minutes about how they'll never win the Anglo-Scottish Cup... Good luck to you all.

    2024/25 League Two Relegation Thread

As they're established Football League teams I'd prefer to see Carlisle and Tranmere stay up but the signs don't look great do they. Carlisle already look like they have a mountain to climb and might well be grasping at straws with the volume of incomings. Tranmere just seem to be dreadful...

Isn’t it a knock on from those NYD round of games which were played a day later?

    The BELEAGUERED Carlisle Utd Thread

I agree with KS. Tranmere were comfortably worse than Carlisle from the evidence I’ve seen so far. They had literally no redeeming features. Carlisle at least had us under pressure in short spells in our recent game at BP.

If the alarm bells aren't ringing at Tranmere after losing to a gash Morecambe side then they should be.

Cook's model low key consistency in L2 deserves a bit more recognition outside of Bradford really. Likely he'll have a decent chance to add to his tally at the weekend too.

I'd heard the same yesterday so I think it may well be true, although as we know Cookie keeps his cards close to his chest and might throw in the odd red herring. Personally I suspect we'll be doing well to get 11 on the pitch until the window opens. Edit...just seen the team. Confirmed WG and...

I certainly wouldn’t give up any hope, this is a great time to be playing us. Half the squad is injured.

I can definitely see us doing a couple of signings as soon as we can. We need the bodies. Someone on the forum mentioned the full back at Southend but I’m not sure that’s an area of critical need.

Chesterfield team picks itself as basically the only lads who aren’t injured. Hobson in for Colclough, Drummond in for Grigg from Saturday if both are injured. Can we name a full bench? I don’t think we can. We are going to need some short term reinforcements in the new year.

Great. Just in time for our trip there on Boxing Day.

Agreed. From memory earlier in the season they were stronger at home than away but the stats suggest they are more than capable of getting a result on Saturday. We'll need to be on form.

Would imagine the police leant on Hull a bit for the earlier ko, albeit there was probably no need. Like you say, this will inevitably put off a few day trippers from Donny and won’t do anything to encourage any of the home fans to turn up either. Poor decision.

Just got back. If it’s any consolation I didn’t think you guys were quite as bad as Tranmere last week, but on the flip side we didn’t have to get anywhere near top gear to win that. Carlisle definitely weren’t good in both boxes. When you got in good positions and created the odd chance you...

Not been to Carlisle for ages so I quite fancy this one. Have we stumbled on a decent DM partnership in the absence of both Naylor and Oldaker? Hard to tell I think because Tranmere were extremely limited. May as well let Banks and Mandeville carry on.
