He'll have had no pre-season and could very easily pick up a fair few niggling injuries upon his return. There's not an awful lot of certainty in him having any serious impact on our first team until Feb. During that period we'd be spending a fortune on his wages. I'd definitely take the...
I love this shit. Sold Gray, got £9.5m for him so far. Bought in Vibe for £1m last season as his replacement. These are their compared stats for their respective seasons with us:

We came quite close to signing him last summer, but then he had a cracking end to the previous season and his price went through the roof. Looks a very calm finisher.
Or we did our homework on Hogan and Gray, gave them significantly better training than they'd had access to and they've massively paid off. It's not much of a punt if you know what you're doing. The amounts involved for both players would indicate the opposite of a big risk. Spoofing £4m+ on a...
Really? They were very very poor after the first 20 minutes - would have been a travesty if the game ended as a draw. Didn't offer anything at all in the second half, was expecting more to be honest but I'm sure they'll do well this season.
Good win. Shakey first 15 minutes but the we settled into it well. Two good goals, would have been nicer to work Bart more, as he's always been a wobbly keeper at Griffin Park. Thought we moved it well and our front four looked very fluid, and defensively exceptionally sound.
I hate to say...
It's a very good article and the producer of it clearly puts a lot into it... although it's very strange to see your own posts quoted on another forum! :eye:
It was a tackle which has had serious ramifications for club and player alike. Alan Judge missed out on his Premier League £30,000 a week move which would have sorted his family out for life. We missed out on £4m-£6m in transfer fees which could have seen as have a decent crack at the transfer...
Really? I thought we were so nice to you lot. You guys were tough in the challenge and really giving us a tough time, whereas whenever you had the ball we stood off and let you have it. I thought we were really rather weak in the naughtiness stakes yesterday.
If you asked me at the start of our first Championship season, I'd have said mid to low table for us. It was an OK squad full of lower league players (Gray, Hogan, Moses, etc.), loanees (Pritchard, Toral), relatively new players (Judge, Tarkowski), errors (Proschwitz) and one unknown (Jota).
We...
I'm going. Have had uvularitis all week, throat covered in pus, fever, etc. Been hammering the meds and might be in a position to jump on the train cone tomorrow morning.
This is normally a family affair - my girlfriend's family are all Town fans - but looks like just me and the old man for...
Looks a very useful player - we've had to pull out of a few loanee options due to the owning club wanting the player to play in at least 75% of games. Apparently Abraham was one of those.
In all honesty, we had a real problem with this last season. A year earlier we were able to gently ease Jota into Championship football - a few sub appearances and protecting him quite a bit. Last season our injury crisis meant throwing 4 or 5 players into the side who had never played in this...
I do like J'OC - strong and honest player, good in the air and solid tackler. Good movement for a big lad too. Unfortunately he's not quite got the passing or composure on the ball to make it in our side at the moment, but I reckon he'd be a very strong League One centre back. Hope he does well...
