I am really not a fan of these "new build" grounds that have sprung up in the last 20 years or so starting with Glanford Park as I find them souless and are usually in the middle of nowhere or attached to a non descript retail park etc so my list reflects that. So in any particular order my...
I`d say Bristol Rovers have the potential to be a bigger club. We played them at Wembley one season and they had over 40 thousand there for a start. Also Bristol is a fairly large city in a huge catchment area ( the nearest PL club is in Birmingham or Southampton both at least 90-100 miles...
Couldn`t agree more about being ripped off. Scunthorpe are changing us a buy on the day ticket price of £ 25 on Saturday. When you realise that it`s only 30 quid for an away ticket for the PL it`s not difficult to consider that a rip off.
I`d be interested to see what kind of crowds Bradford would get if they paid normal prices for season tickets instead of what they have been doing and selling them dirt cheap hoping to make up the shortfall on food, programme and club shop sales. If it`s working for them and it certainly seems...
We had Andy Haines at Vale last week. If there is a worse Referee in the FL than that clown Heaven help whoever is having him.
Of course my own "favourite" in the "Oh God not him" stakes is Carl Boyeson. I hate that guy so much I will not go to a game he is in charge of because I already know...
That was double their average home crowd not so long ago. Can`t wait to see how many they bring to our place. And how they react when the likes of us (we play them on New Years Day. That should be fun), Bradford, Oldham etc rock up there.
I well remember that game. I think much of the penalty miss moaning was because it was Cole Stockton that missed and a lot of our fans didn`t need an excuse to moan about him even though he did get a first half hat trick in that game. The really funny thing was that Solihull fans actually voted...
Couldn`t agree more. What the point of having 65% of the ball if it all goes backwards and sideways? It` s what you do with your extra possession that matters and right now we are doing very little with it in terms of creating goal chances.
I thought it was a fifty/fifty game between two evenly matched teams who both seem to have the same problem as in having somebody to stick it in the net. Yes we had a lot of the ball but to be honest created very little. We got in good positions out wide several times but the ball in simply...
We got a initial 2600 and they went on sale online last night and from the ticket office today. I got mine this morning at 9 and there was a queue before and after I left. Funny thing is they are actually physical tickets and you can`t download them and print them off at home which seems a bit...
As it is the first away game for 18 months their fans have been able to travel expect far more then their usual normal travelling support. They might actually fill their mini bus for this one. But tell your stewards to keep an eye on them. They like to smash up seats.
Surprised to see you say...
Most of what he says is wishful thinking. Just as mine is that we pass them as we get promoted and they come back down. Sadly I can`t see that happening as they will undoubtedly do what they always do. Spend money they haven`t got.
From the outside looking in the guy seems to know what he is doing on the managial front but he is definitely more than a few slates missing off the full roof. The list of his crimes , as it were, is lenghty going back a long way since his arrest in Liverpool for attacking some guy outside Boots...
