GFC4EVA, The last few weeks I have been wondering how pivotal that 95 minute Gillingam winner in the match at our place at the end of August would be after we threw away a 2-0 lead........it kept you up but thankfully not at our expense.....
A big night on Tuesday ........
It could all change again if Shrews beat Millwall and Port Vale don't win at Rochdale.
our next three games are at home to Millwall, tomorrow, then Rochdale on Saturday, and Walsall on Good Friday followed by an away at Northampton on Easter Monday. Lets see where...
Given Port Vale games in hand and the improved form of Bury and Oldham I think getting to 52 points is a minimum to be sure, so that would be 3 wins from 9 for us, I think for the bottom 2 to stay up would take championship form now, and Swindon need a good run desperately.
We certainly are not...
We may have been poor trying to come to terms with Wimbledon tactics yesterday, which was to try and bully there way to a result being very physical combined with every trick out of the book of gamesmanship. At least we did try and play a bit of football and deserved the 3 points for that reason...
4 points clear to be exact :bg:
Last 10 games
Shrewsbury W5 D2 L3 = 17 Points
Scunthorpe W4 D3 L3 = 15 Points
As mentioned above though Scunthorpe are our bogey team who we have not beaten in the league since 1994................
The game v Shrewsbury scheduled on Saturday 18th is unlikely to be moved to the Friday 17th due to a full fixture list on the Tuesday 14th. It might get moved to Sunday though?
We are a little more hopeful these days, having conceded 33 goals in 19 league and Cup games under Micky Mellon, since Paul Hurst has come in we have only conceded 6 goals in the last 9 games which included 6 clean sheets.
Hopefully the trend continues but it is goals we need to score now...
Well I predict possession with no end product and 3-0 to Wimbledon all from crosses into our box!
Mellon post match......we dust our selves down and go again on Tuesday
Should be an away win but sometimes bankers don't happen in football is a hope we can clutch too. We have players who can score so expect a high scoring match. Most of our fans whilst acknowledging the weakness of our back line seem to rate Leutwiller who whilst can make a good save I personally...
