We should converted 2 chances before our first though
We were definitely the bookies favourites however we have moved up the odds table since, and a number of tabloids plus Sky.
Check out the premature prediction thread and the comments.
In the premature season prediction I said that no way we will struggle this season, although I can understand why the bookies have us as relegation favourites, and fellow league one fans would see no reason to disagree.
Interesting that according to the opposition fans of Northampton...
I am interested if any Dale fans respond to this thread as there was no sign of them on this message board before or after our match last Saturday. They must be on Summer holidays ?
This lad is one hell of a signing, we have paid a 6 figure fee for him as well. Surprised some of the bigger clubs in League 1 and the Championship did not come in for him!
I just want to bump this to the top.
This campaign to get rail seating at Shrewsbury is very much an effort By Shrewsbury Supporters Parliament. Our club who have agreed to go along with it if we can raise the money. We have Tifosy managing it for us, but is a big ask to raise such a sum in the...
Follow the link, we need as much help as possible to get this money raised, once installed it will set the precedent for all clubs in England.
All it needs is for a decent percentage of supporters from other clubs to chuck a quid in and we will be up and running. Note anything over £75000 stays...
But you said...
" spent 13 of the last 16 seasons in the same league, and the other three we were a league higher" when in 2010 you were a league lower!
I think Jon Nolan will catch the eye this season. We have signed him on a 3 year contract, but I expect him to be playing at a higher level within 3 years.
Fancy an away victory here, we are a better team this season and physically stronger. Nolan to run the show in the middle of the park, 1-2 Salop (Morris and Whalley)
Had a look on Northampton message board, apparently we are a very poor side. ......... God help Northampton then.
A comfortable and well deserved win for Shrewsbury, even if wasteful in front of goal.
I would allow 35 minutes walking time plus drinking time, you will see plenty of options en route as well as those mentioned.
The Vaults (on your left as you go up the hill from the station)
follow road round until you reach
Nags Head Wyle Cop
Come out of the pub continue down the Cop and turn...
Shrewsbury 1-0 Burton
To make it 4 out of 4 pre-season victory's against Championship clubs:-
Aston Villa 2-1
Wolves 2-0
Cardiff 2-1
I fully expect us to lose at home to Northampton on the opening day of the season, it's the Shrewsbury way, but hopeful we will avoid the relegation struggle...
Well I can understand you thinking that, you have not seen them and the players we have brought in are very much under the radar, and yes you could argue some unproven.
Comparing the current squad of players in Paul Hurst's plans it is a big improvement on where we were at the beginning of last...
Shrewsbury 2-1 Cardiff
I know pre-season results count for nothing but having beat 3 Championship sides who fielded reasonably strong sides it is good to see.
