I think the talent pool is too big. We'll see though. It was the same when we played Brazil in last years Copa America and we beat them. First things first though we need to qualify!

France or England? If its the former I don't think we can win. The latter I'd be disappointed if we didn't at least draw. We have a team that can at best make quarter finals, but if we qualify the mission would be to market the team and nation to export more players.

I have literally never had this feeling in football. This morning has been a suffering for me. I seriously hope the wait for this game is worth it. Vamos Peru.

Think about it though. Missing out on the last match day is gutting. I said in August that I wanted Peru to finish 6th as it would be a good campaign and I didn't believe we could qualify for the World Cup. We are 5th with a home match left. If we miss out now I will be fucking gutted.

USA 3-0 Panama at half time. I've changed my mind, I want to see the USA in the world cup. They're awful but they have a couple of interesting players at their disposal. Bobby Wood being my favourite. I just hope they change their manager. Bruce Arena is such a bland and uninspiring coach.

I'm pissed because Paraguay won. The draw was a great result given we were missing 3 key players, but now these next 5 days will be hell.

When did you watch them? We were awful at the start of these qualifiers but are playing top football now. Anyways the lineup is supposedly going to be this: Caceda Corzo - Rodriguez - Araujo - Trauco Tapia - Yotun Farfan - Peña - Flores Guerrero

They seemed to believe they were favourites, and don't remind me of the 6-0. We were excellent in the first 30 minutes then just fell apart.

All due respect to Salty, but I'm 99% sure we'd batter Scotland now. They were supposedly favourites to win the world cup in 1978, and they lost to a better team in Peru. I'd bet Salty remembers ya old bastard ;)

Hope you qualify so we can kick your asses again like in 1978 ;)
