As I mentioned at HT, awful game to watch.
We started off well, but then very quickly adapted Morecambe’s style of kick and rush football. Because we weren’t picking up those second balls, a lot of play just fell apart and possession was easily turned over - for both sides.
On the balance of...
I’m more nervous facing Morecambe tomorrow than I was when Walsall visited t’other day.
It’s just typical City, but we seem to be putting these kinds of banana skins behind us.
Our great form is largely down to fielding a consistent starting XI. I just wonder whether GA is thinking of mixing...
Interesting take.
Our home form is second best in the league behind Walsall, but we’ve played a game less. We have 10 remaining fixtures at VP and 10 remaining fixtures away from home.
All our remaining home games are against sides in the bottom half, barring Notts and Crewe.
April really...
The league is lucky we had so many injuries at the beginning of the season, because I think we’d have walked it.
Alright, alright…I’m getting carried away. Or am I ….
I mean, I hear you, but we charge £25 on the day. Surely, anyone who plans to attend the game on Saturday already knows they’re going - especially given the circumstances you’ve outlined. Circa 25% of your following just aren’t going to a.) decide on the day they fancy a 240 mile round trip b.)...
I’ll probably get shot down for this, but I’ve just seen Walsall have sold 650 tickets for our clash at the weekend.
Absolutely walking the league, annihilating anyone and everyone in their path and they can’t even shift a 1,000 tickets for a game 2 hours away.
Very poor.
Walsall (h) - toughie!
We welcome runaway leaders Walsall to Valley Parade this weekend.
They’re top for a reason. They’re not just winning, they’re scoring - a lot!
Lapslie, Leigh, Khela and Mellon will be chomping at the ‘bit, but it should be the same XI as the weekend.
