I thought it was bad that Carden was taking tips regarding team selection and tactics from Brabin after he'd been sacked but this is even more ridiculous!
He gets worse with every relegation. He was playing in League One a few years ago but if we were relegated again this season I'm pretty sure he'd still look crap in the Northern League.
That's how I felt a couple of hours ago. With Mellon coming in I'm actually looking forward it now, hopefully he can have some involvement on Saturday even if he's not in charge until next week.
I got in to a conversation with a Liverpool fan in work about the whole B teams debacle. His opinion was basically that it was a shite idea because it wouldn't really benefit Liverpool. When I pitched that it would kill off smaller teams who's fans had no interest in watching their team play...
I suspect you'd have been more likely to get Sutton if Brabin had stayed as I'm sure there was a rumour they'd fallen out. Hopefully we wait until the new manager's appointed and has proper look at what we've got before we start releasing/signing anyone though.
The comments on that story take the tinpottery to another level. The past few years of misery have obviously taken their toll on this guy:

I have given up on AFCBOURNEMOUTH.
After over 50 years .
Thanks Eddie, but your time is up.
Harry Redknapp must step in to...
Maynard was like the non league Yaya Toure at the start of this season, definitely the main reason we started as well as we did....then Brabin starting playing him at right back and ruined his confidence.
Appointing Ronnie Moore again would be a step backwards. It didn't work out last time and he seems to have done a decent job of pissing off half of our fan base after he kept Hartlepool up at out expense. Time to move on from Ronald now.
"999 what's your emergency?"
"Someone posted my Twitter account on an internet forum".
On par with them people ringing 999 because they can't find their car keys!
Remember when we were three points clear at the top of League One in January and ended up finishing 11th? After that disaster I'm not sure I'd be able to get carried away until I turn up for the first game of next season and check there's a Football League badge on the players sleeves...
Makes statement that no one knows what FGR's budget is then follows it up with another implying that he knows everyone else's budgets for this season and last. Hypocrisy?
Liverpool fans' pitch invasion last night after beating us 1-0 in a pre-season friendly.

Not sure it can really be described as a sad fact. I'm made up a load people who don't even support Tranmere are going to increase this seasons budget by 10-20%!
Not sure you can really describe us as being bankrolled on the basis of a 2nd year parachute payment. From what I can remember it'll be in the region of £90k compared to York and Daggers who'll each pick up around £530k.
