In all honesty Vaughan's been pretty poor for us too since he signed, would rather see Sutton at right back instead. Both pretty poor going forward but at least Sutton offers something in defence.
GTF, meh. Spent most his time injured and doesn't look anywhere near the standard I was...
Gary Taylor-Fletcher signs a contract extension for us. He's had a couple of ok games, a couple of games where he's been anonymous and the rest of the time he's been injured, I'm not even sure he's scored a goal since he arrived. Wouldn't particularly have been arsed if he'd gone elsewhere.
No he looks like too good a player for Brabin. We're most likely after six foot tall journey man who's averaged three goals a season for the past 15 years of his career.
We look less like top five candidates every game and Brabin seems to be more and more delusional each week. Thank fuck we've got a few points on the board up to now or I'd be worried about a third successive relegation.
What a waste of time and money it was going to watch us this weekend. Mekki probably the only player who bothered to turn up and he was sat on the bench for the first 20 minutes. Also, why bother recalling Jake Kirby if we're not even going to put him on the bench?! Then we've got Brabin and...
It may be uninspiring signing Cheltenham's third choice right back but if it means Jennings is finally dropped and Maynard played in midfield, then it's the best signing we've made all season. Knowing Brabin though, Jennings will still be in the team on Saturday and Vaughan'll slot straight in...
I don't think anyone expected it be a walk in the park but we at least expected us to put up a fight and be challenging for playoff spot. At this rate we'll be lucky to finish in the top half of the table.
I'm also going Boreham Wood, the last time I saw us win away was Notts County when we went top of League One. Think I've been to about 18 away games since then. Not going to end well if we're both there!
Every week I leave the match thinking the refs couldn't get much worse and the following Saturday they manage to surpass themselves. Absolutely shocking today.
The only worry with all these signings is that it seems reminiscent of Micky Adams tactic, lose a few games, panic sign a ton of players on loan, lose any cohesion between the squad and go from bad to worse. I also can't see Tomlinson starting ahead of GTF, Mangan or Norwood.
Why don't you just tell us what the budget is rather than sending us on a wild goose chase round your forum?
And if 15 goals a season isn't worth Constables wages, how much are you paying him?
At the start of the season we were budgeted for a 30% drop in attendances and so far they've increased on last year. We've also just received an amount rumoured to be in the region of £250k from Wigan for Max Power. All we've been told is that it's a top four budget, no idea how much it is though.
