It seems to be the done, ignore your own and loan them out and loan in a kid who'll never play for that club.
These youngsters are wasting their time, we loaned Hesketh in , he was 24! Why don't these lads look to leave by the time they're 21 and drop down a division and work their way back up...
He'll probably start every game for us maybe not for you, that could have been the deciding factor.
Big thing is this the lower leagues loaning in young keepers, bloated premier league squads, these lads are mostly wasting their time at these clubs are the vast majority will never even make...
As I've said a few times when the ball is in the air he tended to dither on his line a lot for a giant of a lad and when he did come it wasn't convincing.
The Burton winner, a classic example.
Portsmouth keen too.
This have a youngster on loan as your first choice keeper is an interesting one.
As I say we have two young keepers of our own that I'd rather we developed rather than someone else's.
Already played for you guys so you'll know his strengths and weaknesses.
Griffiths reminds me of Joe Hart at the same age , fantastic shot stopper but very vulnerable to crosses and corners coming in. Really hope we don't use a loan on a keeper again this season and then loan out at least one of ours.
I've only seen Wright 3 or 4 times live, was superb v Sunderland...
I see you want the lad we had from WBA last season on loan, Griffiths?
Great shot stopper but terrible command of his area dithered on his line time and again last season, might have been because he had a constantly changing defence in front of him, looked a proper rookie keeper despite having...
As Luke says looking at the squad possibly
Our two major problems last season were midfield and a huge number of injuries.
Bridcutt was our highest earner and played 15 times and another big earner in Walsh played 13 and neither played a game together, no wonder we struggled all season...
On the three players you mention Luke, Hopper played 22, Bridcutt 15 and Walsh 13.
Not sure about the experienced keeper bit as IMHO we have two competent youngsters and after playing most of last season with Griffiths who was 20 and incredibly green at times IMHO probably not helped by the...
Very Paul Scholes in terms of tackling, he can't lol!
Trebling his wages apparently, good luck to him.
Sure that the usual suspects will be moaning and the same people who constantly want Alex Woodyard back even though he wanted to leave.
One for the Oxford fans regarding our recently departed Mr Appleton.
He's signed a few players on decent length contracts then hardly ever played them, did he do this at Oxford?
I stayed away that day as I feared it would be mayhem and so it proved.
The pub I went back then was targeted by trouble makers.
Think celtic played at Sunderland quite recently, utter mayhem.
Happened with our last two, the Cowleys were constantly linked with other clubs especially so after the second promotion and left while their stock rising and went to Huddersfield.
Michael Appleton got us to within one game from the championship, was being linked with jobs during the summer...
