I remember that night when he scored that hat trick - it put us bottom of league 2 at the time although we found form and survived back when Leam Richardson was in charge. Seems a long time ago now!
We've drawn our last 3 games 1-1. I'll predict more of the same with us scoring a late equaliser.
Its supposed to seat 1,100 apparently. The plan is for clubs with larger away support to have that stand and the open terrace and for smaller away crowds it will be shared with schools/youth clubs etc.
The original artist impression showed a much larger stand but due to costs and the owner not...
After deservedly losing in the opening game we haven't lost since in the League. We were disappointed not to beat Scunthorpe at home last week after creating many chances but just seemed to be a bit short up front still - we made some last minute loan signings but they weren't able to play last...
Our away attendance at Bristol Rovers a few weeks back was 107
Someone who runs a guess the attendance competition rang the Gas during week to get the figure but all ours for the season so far should be up to date now.
Delighted with a 3-2 win at Oxford and to see us win both our away matches in the League so far.
Not seen any Oxford fans comments on here since the game but I thought they played OK and the result could have gone either way. Took us a while to get into the game.
Blackpool away on Sat (just...
Just booked myself on the coach for our away trip to Oxford tomorrow night.
Not to worry Oxford fans Stanley have a habit of being the team that ends winless runs!
I felt we held our own against Charlton but we're a bit short up front with Kayden Jackson moving on.
We're away at Mansfield - I could have gone but they're charging £20 so it has put me off. I know Preston v Morecambe is only £10 and I'm sure most other games would be too.
We have a great record recently v Mansfield but that was in the league - they've knocked us out of cup competitions...
Not long back from an away day in Bristol. Glad to get our first points on the board and its now 7 wins in a row v the Gas according to some on the supporters coach.
Its been a busy week in the transfer market with a number of comings and goings after what had been a quiet summer for us but...
Really looking forward to that game - are you coming up to this one? I'd imagine Charlton will sell out their allocation.
I think we're overdue another meeting in one of the cups...
I still remember us being 2-0 up with 5 mins left and losing followed by John Coleman cancelling his birthday party!
That 5-1 defeat was mentioned on our forum and many were saying "we should be beating them" together with us having an unbeaten pre-season we were very confident.
We've been underestimated and proven people wrong ever since we got into the League so I think we had a taste of our own medicine...
Back down to earth with a bump for us after losing at home for the first time in 2018. As the Gills fans on here have said we offered little up front but I thought we improved in the second half. I think a lot of fans (myself included) just thought we'd win this game without too much trouble -...
August for us:
Gillingham (H) - we beat them 7-4 a few years back in a crazy game. Probably be 0-0 this time
Bristol Rovers (A)
Charlton (H) - really looking forward to this one
Oxford (A) - Tues night game
Blackpool (A) - really pleased we've got an away there in August
We don't play...
Mansfield away for us
When we played them away last season the supporters coaches only got there at half time because of an accident on the motorway so it'll be nice to see 90 mins (at least...)
Biggest away win was 6-0 away at Leigh RMI in the Conference (anyone remember them??)
We got thumped 8-1 away at Peterborough around 2007/8 ish although I think that Posh side smashed a few teams that season.
Craziest game was a 7-4 home win v Gillingham and I didn't include it on goals galore...
383 Accrington at Swindon.
Sorry I'm so late with this - it probably doesn't matter now in the grand scheme of things.
A lad who runs a guess the attendance competition on our forum rang Swindon up and got the figure - those who said 400 were very accurate!
Congratulations to Macclesfield - I bet many football "experts" were tipping you to bottle it (is Alan the expert Alger still around??)
A good away trip I remember watching us draw with you 3-3 down there back in the Paul Ince era - great game!
