So...
Do I put my trust in Mike Williamson, played in PL, got coaching qualifications, transformed Gateshead and MK Dons from mid table obscurity to play off contenders. Or do I put my trust in the opinions of Son of Cod and Hellogregory?
Think I'll stick with good old Mike Williamson.
I don't see any issue at all.
In fact, I find it a bit embarrassing that teams like Barrow and Inverness use location as an excuse.
Barrow train at FCUM or Curzon Ashton!!
To me, it shows a lack of infrastructure and professionalism.
But, it's their choice, so there you go.
Never write anyone off.
Ian Harte, Peter Valentine, Warren Aspinall.
3 players off the top of my head criticised before they kicked a ball for us and they all turned out to be decent signings.
Good luck Cedwyn Scott, welcome to our club.
It's difficult to be optimistic after yesterday.
I think the players are getting off lightly.
They should be taking the criticism not the coaching staff or Piataks.
Williamson has inherited players who aren't good enough, we carried 3 or 4 passengers yesterday on that pitch.
You can't do...
The reason we've been bottom all season is due to our injury list.
I know every club has them, but we've had 10 - 13 players out for various spells this season.
Disappointing, obviously, to lose today. But there was a lot of positives came out of that.
In a strange way, it's strengthened my belief we can survive.
Played great for 90 minutes, teamwork was excellent.
Don't get carried away after a win or loss, there's still plenty of points to play for.
Let's remember our fitness and medical staff are different now.
With hindsight, I have a bit more faith now than I would have under Simpson & Son when it comes to signing players with fitness issues.
I've had a few pints of Guinness and a couple of double whiskies, and I've just found out we've signed a new midfielder and Mellishes red card has been overturned.
Bring on Accy on Sunday!!!
The fight back starts now
It's the hope that kills you, but one positive I'm grasping at is some decent signings are already done and will be revealed on Jan 1st.
As a club and fanbase, we all need a lift.
Accrington Stanley at home.
Under pressure manager, frustrated fanbase, injury/sickness/suspended ravaged squad and bottom of the league.
I'd take a point now, given our circumstances.
Mike Williamson has still got my support, for one reason.
He inherited this squad, it's a squad of injury ravaged players and players that aren't good enough to step up when required ( Ellis, Armstrong spring to mind).
If, and it's a big if, we can keep in touch with these bottom clubs around...
I'm a bit disappointed Hellogregory hasn't appeared yet predicting a 0-6 home defeat v Morecambe.
On topic, this is Carlisles' biggest game for months. An absolute must win game for us. Going to be a nerve wracking day I think, but the law of averages say we gotta win at home soon.
Fingers...
Port Vale away.
Predicting a close game but ultimately a defeat.
Last weeks defeat was a setback, but PV are on a poor run.
Would like to think we'll run them close and put in a performance with a bit of nous.
Our season needs to start on Boxing Day.
