Happy Days!!! What had the ref and lino got against the Brewers?
I was wearing that shirt on Saturday but the black flat cap has been retired to the wardrobe.
They still used to do **** & peas at the Pirelli in those days.
Parking will probably be a problem. It will be a big crowd and quite a few will be making a night of it so will be in early. A few of us Habbinites are having a curry pre-match so I'll be in my spot early and may be leaving the car overnight.
Street parking is always difficult to find for...
Dion's (up the stairs) in the Board Room at the Cledara Abbey Stadium now.
Don't know what to expect from this one. We're 9th in the Form Table with 16 points from the last 10 games, having got 1 point from the first 9. With players coming back from injury, I'd be more optimistic if Corey...
If going direct to the ground, I've parked easily on the housing estate on the hill - perhaps Arundel Road or Roundwood Road. Usually we go to the Hour Glass and park on Gallows Lane IF early enough.
My team to start the season at Edgley Park (I was last there in December 1968) would be:
Stevens
Bennet, Ibsen Rossi, Morrison, Watts, Andrew
Kaikai, Kachunga, Smith, Brophy
Lavery
I expect Mr Monk will be more creative in his selection
Gary Gardner not yet match fit, along with Jordan...
Relevant turnover certainly includes transfer income and expenditure, allocated to different years depending on a complicated set of definitions. But there are plenty of other "revenues" that might be manipulated to increase "turnover," especially sponsorship...
Even though Burton should be at home on Fleetwood's tight muddy beach that'll have had two days rain, I can see Fleetwood winning to save Cheltenham's bacon. They must have a decent chance of rolling over Stevenage and if they do, deserve survival.
A win at Vale would be a nice way to round...
There's some half decent food stalls on the way into the ground and a scaled back fan zone/beer tent now the egg chasers have gone.
But we have always had a warm welcome and decent beer (less certain for food) at the Hour Glass - nearest thing to a Northern pub south of the M40 that I've seen...
Afraid not and numbers would probably have dropped for your second season as the novelty wore off and the tonkings took their toll.
There were 8 teams in L1 with a better away support than you. We'll probably lose 3 of them to the Championship but their replacements will bring decent numbers...
Probably handball but you could never tell with that ref.
I was behind the goal and in line with Newby. I thought he handled it and he looked a bit sheepish as he put it in the net. He didn't argue or protest it being written off.
Anyway, only my second Barrow game this season and (apart...
After that weekend, I just about feel comfortable posting in here rather than checking who's coming up with Chesterfield (I'd love it to be Alty but think it'll be Barnet).
Down has to be Neil Harris's Millwall with the rest from Yorkshire.
Coming up would be Barrow from the play-offs...
I was talking to a Groundhopper at Rushden v Cambridge City during the week.
Even he is fitting in the game ..................... along with a bunch of others including Honington v Sidmouth this evening and Newton Abbot v Teignmouth tomorrow morning.
Bugger - I had just updated my Dart Crossing account and reviewed parking/pre-match plans.
Would have only been my second game of the season and the only other I might manage would be the Play-Off Final - a slim and receding hope.
Hoping 16 April is the new date - unless they'e going to...
Although it was promised, a year ago when we bought back the ground and in October when the Shadow Board was set up, I am pretty sure the Golden Share has not yet been formally put in place.
Not a worry, it's a process that is underway. I also expect it to cover the standard issues recommended...
I'm not sure why the majority think there's NO chance it 'll be overturned - other than refs don't get overturned often. Did someone see a clear punch or kick? Incidentally, the appeal will be heard and decided on Friday.
From the Habbin, I didn't see the initial incident, only the...
It's a lot of extra money on offer and being delayed but not a simple flat amount per club.
As I understand it, on a per-club basis, each Championship side currently receives £5.19million in solidarity money, League One teams get around £780,000 each and League Two sides £520,000 each. (behind...
