Hmmm, tied for first in the prem league , finished top in their Champs league division and doing that with 8-10 first team players out injured. So that's struggling?
Most of the injured will return shortly and perhaps a signing or two will happen in Jan . Liverpool will be fine ......also in...
I think Silva is a decent manager though I think you'd have done better to get Eddie Howe instead. However, Everton's problems are not a quick fix with a manager but more a need to add real quality to their squad . I posted on the Sam thread last year that Everton would need a massive retooling...
Statistically not much really .
Comparison after 21 games... Last season -
Everton had 7 wins, 27 points, scored 25 goals and conceded 32.
This season - 7 wins, 27 points, scored 31 goals, conceded 31.
I think this seasons edition of Man Utd is probably the worst in my memory , worse than the rubbish Moyes fielded .
Offered nothing and will be lucky to finish top six methinks.
My , how times have changed . So many Mancs are now totally demoralised under Maureen and rolling over before a ball has been kicked in anger .
Reminds me of when Woy was our boss .
ATV Irdning 0-22 Everton
Bury 1-1 Everton
Lille 0-0 Everton
Porto 1-0 Everton
Blackburn Rovers 3-0 Everton
Stade Rennais 4-1 Everton
Everton 2-3 Valencia
They scored 26 goals and won just ONE game.
Apparently Sam Allardyce got £9mill for his 6month stint at Everton. Mindboggling but decent cash any way you look at it ..... for Sam ....not Everton.
Steve Walsh , director of football has also got the boot in favour of Marcel Brands of PSV.
I highly doubt that Rafa would ever consider going to Everton. However ,Eddie Howe is one guy the Toffees should think about .The squad needs a good deal of rebuilding which will take time and old managers like Sam are not in it for the long haul. Howe is a progressive young manager who likes...
I was at the Toon game and though he had very little to do he did make one absolutely class save in the first half . He seems to have finally settled and he's playing with confidence as is the entire defence nowadays. I think Lpool will sell Mignolet and buy another this summer . The question...
After a somewhat shaky first season last year I think Karius still needs to prove to Klopp that he's good enough to be the # 1 keeper . Looks like he'll get a good run of games until the end of the season to convince .
So far I think he's done well enough , seems to be more settled , looks more...
Put it this way . I don't worry too much about a player either way after four games. Give him time to settle then start analysing what he doing well or not .
