Not Guiseley, we've only got one striker in Kane Felix and he's been out injured for the last five weeks. Four or five accademy players trying to fill gaps to stay within a tight budget. I can't see where goals will come from without bringing someone in.
Guiseley 2-0 Matlock Town
Matlock having two players and their assistant manager sent off through the course of the game. Not giving themselves the best chance of progression! Shame as they looked decent in the first five minutes until the first red card.
I don't know.
If I was responsible for the welfare of a squad I wouldn't be comfortable playing a team with confirmed cases, presumably they've been in close contact with the rest of their teams players in training/recent matches.
I was surprised at the Boston statement yesterday saying the...
Our game v Boston now postponed due to a positive covid test for one of their players and two more tested but no results as yet.
Quick recovery to them and hope it's contained.
Foc at Guiseley, so far anyway.
What is the justification for such a charge following the announcement that clubs are to receive compensation for lost income playing behind closed doors?
The Guiseley management team of Marcus Bignot, Russ O'Neil and Paul Clayton have all signed new contracts until the end of the 2021/22 season.
Great news for all connected with the club.
You looked a solid, very well organised team, one of the best I've seen this season to be fair. Wednesday on the spud field in Farsley took it's toll, we weren't quite as athletic as usual.
I hope Waring is soon mended, not nice to see any player genuinely injured. Our fans reaction more likely...
Ten points from the last four games so I'm not complaining.
We seem to have learned now how to win against the bullying type of teams that were turning us over not too long ago (not York). Away at Farsley today was closer to rugby than football but the lads found a way to win.
Thank goodness Aarron Martin is now back after his suspension. He scored a worldy overhead kick to open the scoring first half only for the liner to chalk it off for a high foot. Never mind, three minutes later he used his head instead and that one stood.
That's our first win away to Gateshead...
In his brief spell with us we ended up with over forty players, a few were loans but many were given very decent two year contracts. Only two or three were any good! Don't forget all his cronies that appear with him too as coaches, physios etc.
God help your club financially and the hoofball is...
We're out of strikers now with Lee Shaw being stretchered off today. The main man will be available again after Telford next Saturday but we'll be extremely threadbare for that fixture. Just when Telford seem to be picking up too.
Lots of disappointing elements to relegation I know but whatever steps are necessary to keep our clubs afloat have to be seen as positives in the long run. Just my opinion anyway :)
