Depends on how long our key players are out. The reports we are getting don't sound good. The replacements are not stepping up to claim the shirts. Yesterday our opponents didn't create a single chance yet still won the game.
We can't blame the ref for missing chances. We had enough in the first half alone to win 2 games. When players are injured, you need the fringe players to step up, ours haven't and we certainly ran out of ideas after the pen. Well done on a hard fought game but how many times have you won a game...
You forgot the Donny result. Hope you are right about the rest. We have scored 48 league goals and the scorers of 29 of them are missing. We are without all 3 of our play makers so it is a good time to be playing us. It is no polnt feeling sorry for ourselves, the replacements will have to step...
Football fans will sympathise with this but unfortunately true fans come at the bottom of the list that efl and certainly sky hold. They see support from an arm chair more important than us fans handing over our cash to cheer our lads on. To hell with the traditionalists for whom a couple of...
The discussion was started by a poster saying how difficult it will be for any team promoted to survive in L1. Whereas none of us is likely to trouble the promotion contenders there, I think the likes of us; Vale, Notts and Donny will be able to bridge the income gap(sorry Wimbledon fans but I...
I think we have been agreeing with your last sentence but only a few clubs are outrageously rich. Should us , Vale and Notts for example go up, I don't think the wealth of the majority would overwhelm us.
Stupid post. Early season it was Chezza fans giving it large(amongst 2 or 3 others). If we go up, there is no way we will be able to tear up d1 but we should have the resources to consolidate. We already have players who can perform in the division and contracts are likely to prevent us making...
Pointless taking the attitude "no point in trying for promotion". Promotion itself requires planning, not just for promotion but how to follow it on. No different to a successful business planning expansion.
You as well as anyone knew it would happen at some time. Doesn't hide the disappointment but Coleman did a job on us. We played their game and not our own. Skipper has been magnificent, today he was awful. At least we are at an end of the Saturday- Tuesday grind and have a full week of recovery...
Hope you win but the game is likely to cost you more injuries. Your players need to spend a day beforehand training on Morecambe beach. Hope you get a ref that gives you more protection than the one we had.
We had a good January window and now have the back up that hopefully will get us over the line. However, if our replacements get injured, we are likely to be struggling. We still have Jamie Walker who is one of the cleverest players in the division. It is imperative we now keep him fit.
Good question. A quarter of the season remaining and a lot of points to play for. In our favour though is the depth of our squad and I don't just mean quantity. Last night , we were without 6 first choice players including 3 of the most creative in the division.
the form would have been even better had Cook been available. It has been down to key players coming back from injury and a busy January window. Even though we have as many injuries as other teams(Crewe and Chezza excepted) the affore mentioned have so far enabled us to overcome the difficulties.
