The Dickov sacking shows that they are willing to sack when things are going very very bad, if only far too late. This is the case for the Wellens removal as well I fear.
He is clearly one of the best managers in this league, it’s just not worked out at Charlton. Many championship clubs would have him in a heartbeat, look at the mess Hull have been without him for starters.
If we keep a manager after one relegation and then are in another relegation battle fighting for our football league status and don’t sack him till half way through the season I would suggest that wouldn’t be a particularly wise move from those at the top of the club, no.
I suspect that would...
The people who run my club are very resistant to sackings. Fan pressure could of course change that if results don’t pick up by October though.
I personally didn’t think he was the right appointment at the time after our disaster with Andy Butler in the second half of last season.
Why would a Grimsby fan be giving it the big un? i don’t think anyone would seriously suggest you are ‘bigger’ than us as exemplified by the fact we’ve shared the same division once in about the last 16 years.
Grimsby are a good club but a league two-national league yo yo club at best, not...
Terrible this season, and if rumours are true he's got a bad attitude.
Has largely been phased out since Butler became manager and doubt he'll be here next season even with (another) change of manager looking likely.
