I still can’t believe we got woods. He’s up there with Pearson for the best dm in this division for me. He’s absolutely a cut above at the moment. If he and jed turn up I fancy us at the moment.

And Neil Harris releases him 2 years ago as he wasn’t made of the right stuff to play for us. For that, if nothing else, Harris deserves massive criticism

I thought Kane was rubbish. He’ll never amount to much

Troy Parrott signed from spurs on loan for the year. Know nothing other than his reputation as a goal scorer in their stiffs. Pleased though, needed more options up front

No offence could possibly be taken. Two similar sized clubs but we’ve established ourselves a bit more. Could be a good year for a few unfavoured clubs I think

I’d be very surprised if we were looking for a centre half unless cooper is off for good money. We’ve got plenty in that position

the issue really is that whilst 4 or 5 of the smaller clubs Who try to live within our means like ourselves will generally agree, similar sized clubs like reading who are spending vastly beyond their means and not being punished have no incentive. I don’t really mind Leeds, Villa, etc spending...

Football has been good tbh. Got some exciting individuals and we are playing it on the ground more. No complaints thus far. Get the loyalty thing. One thing in our favour is that we are so unfashionable it’s somewhat unusual for any bigger club to actively chase our managers!

Charlton depend massively on the window. If they spend a bit they’ll prob be ok

Stoke aren’t a terrible side perhaps, but though their performance at ours was wretched. Looked like a team with very little confidence or character to me. They’ll definitely beat us next week now!

We were dire for 60 odd minutes, couldn’t pass water and smith looked like a donkey. that we won 3-1 was largely down to baffling substitutions by Luton, and them sitting far too deep. Mcmanaman was doing a decent job stopping us exploiting our left, and lua lua has kept Romeo and Wallace...

On a wider note, how did the Luton fans get such a bad rep last year in the league one forums on this board? Those who frequent the championship forums all seem perfectly reasonably, eloquent and almost normal.

Barnsley were unbelievably bad against us for 40 minutes the other day, then scored a really good goal and defended pretty well until we score late to equalise. They they dug deep and managed to nick a winner in injury time as well. All that I think bodes fairly well for them, not many sides...

    Managerial Merry-Go-Round 2022/23

Pretty much spot on tbh, albeit the budget is (i gather) somewhat higher this year than previously.

    Managerial Merry-Go-Round 2022/23

Barrett - just the incumbent caretaker so naturally short odds Hughton - would take all day long Rowett - again, would take Keane - No, too divisive Pulis - Might actually be the most sensible choice, would match our current style Jackett - wouldn't come back McCarthy - doubt he'd leave Ireland...

Millwall vs West Ham has a fairly ropey history. Last time one of our fans was stabbed walking up to upton park: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1209662/Family-man-Millwall-fan-stabbed-teenage-sons-going-wrong-gate.html

We don't need the ground closure, or massive fine & terrible headlines which would inevitably follow.
