Norwich easily the poorest side to visit HP this season. Seems like the omission of Sergeant and Barnes may really hurt them.
From our point of view it was one of those games where everything we tried came off and scoring 6 certainly never flattered us.
We have felt hard done by a few times...
I suppose that is what we are all hoping to be honest. My slight concern is that when we are pinned in (which we will be alot I would imagine) and need somebody to hold the ball up or win a free kick, Hardie is pretty lightweight and ineffective.
If the game opens up though and Mumba, Hardie...
Personally I think Hardie’s game is pretty limited and the step up in quality will show that.
Don’t get me wrong pace kills and he isn’t a bad finisher but without the ability to hold up the ball, bring others into play and retain possession when under the cosh I think Schumacher may be looking...
We have been using a new 4-2-3-1 system this pre-season and expect us to drop the 3-4-2-1 which worked so well last season simply because of the increase in attacking quality we will face.
Its pretty tough to pick with 3 or 4 still expected through the door but hopefully it will be along these...
Hmm good question mate. Maybe asking a bit much on our budget but A bit of experience next to Randall and an experienced Centre Forward would certainly be favourable.
Extremely happy with our business so far and 4/5 have been permanent signings which is great for our future. A pretty solid looking #1 from Celtic who will hopefully compete with Cooper once he has returned from injury.
Two quality centre halves, Lewis Gibson from Everton and Julio Pleguezuelo...
Argyle have signed Kaine Kesler-Hayden on a season-long loan from Aston Villa. Not sure what to expect other than his circumstances at Huddersfield were quite peculiar last season
Today you have signed a player who last season played in the FA Trophy and today we have signed a player who turned down Europa League football and was part of the best defence in the dutch top division. Go back to where you belong
Be nice to have a big away tie to kick us off, West Brom or Leicester would be nice.
Interested to see who we play on Boxing day as well. Usually its a pretty local tie so it can only really be Cardiff or Swansea as I cannot imagine they will let them pair play each other when Police resources...
He was certainly one of our higher earners and was reportedly on somewhere around 5k a week. Not sure if this will put a few clubs out of the running to be honest. Stinks of Wrexham, Salford or Stockport for me personally
Danny Mayor, James Bolton, Conor Grant and Luke Jephcott all released. Expect to see a fair few clubs linked with all four of these players to be honest. All can certainly do a job in LG1/LG2
Shame to see Mayor go especially but he wants to be closer to his family so who can blame him.
Yeah no animosity to both Ipswich and Wednesday. Three bloody good sides this year and happy to be associated with such great clubs.
Port Vale, been great hosts all day and alot of mutual respect shown. All the best for next season and thanks again
Weirdly we genuinely have no idea mate. The American consortium plus our chairman recently confirmed an 18m investment for a training complex so it looks as though they are willing to put their money where there mouth is to push the club forward.
The main question is will they want to invest in...
The one thing that I will not miss from the LG1 forum…..Port Vale fans.
Easily the most deluded, monotone supporters in this group. Fingers crossed that by the time we end up back in LG1 they will have been relegated to LG2
