I know for a fact we've beat these at some point in time, but it feels like these hold an Indian sign over us, we looked a lot better against Donny without Umerah on the pitch for 60 minutes so having him in from the start should be a massive boost, no predictions as we've shot ourselves in the foot too many times this season, just bastard win please.

Up against the form team moneybags Salford trying to avoid a third defeat on the trot. Expect Mellon to shuffle the pack again after Tuesday’s changes couldn’t help us to a win at Doncaster. We need something from this one with two difficult matches to follow.

Not sure about a thumping as we have two suspensions and a number of injuries. Jody still to put his mark on the side which probably wont come until we are back at full strength. Really need a win from this one to allow us to start putting a run together prior to two tricky away games at Sutton & Salford

Think we have 5 out - Lavinier, Shade, Blake-Tracey injured, Khan and Hepburn-Murphy suspended. Bit threadbare. Expecting another 10,000+ crowd being Morris’ first home game in charge.

Not sure what to expect given the injuries, I think over half our starting line up is out, both full backs, GK, striker and 2/3 midfielders.

What is clear is that Hawkins/Lapslie will probably definitely score. Lapslie in particular will probably finally get some game time and justify his wages being doubled

Blake-Tracey was ill and apparently 50/50 for the weekend. I think if he is injured we are in a bit of trouble at the back, can Clayton play 90 after coming off the bench and playing 30 last week? Morris certainly hasn't got an easy task in his first couple of games with injuries and suspensions, it will be fascinating to see how we line up.

How is Brennan faring now, I asked earlier in the season and the reviews weren't great

Up and down really to be honest Barrie. I think early in the season he got concussed in a game which possibly knocked his confidence but recently has had to come into the team and has had a regular run of games. I personally think he has done reasonably well and seems to be growing in confidence. I don't think he's let anyone down and a run of games will do him the world of good for his development.

Dirk Diggler sees more games than me so might be able to provide more feedback.

Can't believe the odds you can get on Gillingham tomorrow. We've been average at best at home this season and as Conker says, we've got plenty out injured tomorrow.

Lapslie 2 or more 100/1. I'll have abit of that, backed him all the time for us

100/1? :ohm:

Worth a go, it’s if he starts that’s the issue.

If you take our injury list more holistically, we actually have 10 out - RHM and Khan (suspended), then Harries, Baudry, Tomlinson, Devine, Lavinier, Shade, Brann and perhaps FBT injured/ill. More threadbare at the back than a nudist colony.

Tough game for us but not necessarily one that we should be massively fearful of. I actually get to attend an away game for once as I can swing it with a visit to the inlaws in Chesterfield as part of the trip.

I'd probably take a point if offered though, keep the unbeaten run going as long as we can while the feeling around the club is positive. Not sure what the line up will be as there are a few knocks in the group, particularly in forward areas - annoying seeing as we've just solved that particular issue.

At a guess:

Morris
McKenzie - Ehmer - Masterson - Tutonda
Williams
Dieng - Jefferies
MacDonald
Hawkins - O'Brien
Turner, Alexander, Wright, Lapslie, O'Keefe, Abrahams, Gbode/Nichols

Looking forward to this one.

I thought Hawkins and Nichols were a real nuisance at the CG, particularly Hawkins who we couldn't handle at all. It makes you wonder why Clough at Mansfield kept playing him at CB, where he looked awkward at best.

I think one of the best things you could say about the pair of them is that they look like they've been playing together for ages, not just a few weeks. Strike partnerships are key in this league and I think we've got a good one.

Yeah I'd agree. We've potentially got the best striker in the league in Charlie Austin but getting our forward players to gel alongside him is a challenge. We tried Rushian Hepburn-Murphy on Saturday and they looked lively until he got sent off after 20 minutes and is now banned for 3 games! Certainly Austin and Jephcott do not make a good strike partnership!

Hawkins is a good CB under the assumption you carefully pick who’s next to him, but ultimately Clough made a major mistake not signing a proper CB in the summer, finally got Kilgour in which is definitely a upgrade in our defence.

I know we battered Doncaster in our last home game but our home form is poor and we haven’t actually played well at Field Mill for ages, that alongside a stupid amount of injuries Gillingham should fancy their chances.

I think we'll probably go to look to win the game for sure. Our league position is somewhat of a fallacy in comparison to our squad strength now, which I'd probably put in the top 3rd of the league similar to yourselves. That said we've always been prone to throwing a wobbly when things are going well so anywhere on the scale from 2-0 Gills to 4-0 Mansfield is equally likely in my experience.

I'm just happy that I'm excited to go to an away game again.

Obviously a hard game for us tomorrow but made even harder with Critchlow and Bola out injured. Critchlow is our best defender and Bola was much more promising last week than his debut but shock horror an injury prone player is injured after two games.

Stubbs will likely come in as will Ridehalgh (gulp) so it's going to be an entire new left side of defence.

Big call is whether Smallwood comes back in considering the midfield performance last week was the best of the season.

We have an appalling away record at Rochdale if memory serves. Likely to have 4 fullbacks out injured so the team is going to be a bit lopsided. As Eric says, a must win for us really. Time for Hoskins to find his goalscoring touch again and for others to start chipping in. Hoping to see some more of the new lads to help lighten the load going forward.

As mentioned, Critchlow and Bola both out injured. Prior to this news, I actually fancied us to go down there and get something. We beat them 3-0 at home with relative ease.

Anybody feel even the tiniest bit confident they can overhaul Stevenage? I reckon they’ll implode a bit. Anyone who can win 6 on the trot will be right on them.

Tough tough game at Wimbledon. When I decided to go I didn’t quite realise how tough this one will be till I looked into them.

After last weeks poor result and fairly poor performance against Harrogate, big improvements required to stand a chance against Wimbledon.

Looking at their results, they are a solid team that don’t give anything away, especially at home in recent weeks/months.

We’ll be without Owen Moxon which will be a big blow, don’t quite know who’ll do the creating. I also expect Huntington to be “rested” after a couple of mistakes over the last 2 games, plus there’s one or two more injury doubts. Not what we need in what is already an uphill task. Probably makes it more like an up Everest in a pair of slippers task.

Taking everything into account I just can’t make a case for us getting anything here.

Wimbledon 3-0 Carlisle United

The “blip” continues.

I think we’ve beaten Sutton once,under DC.
Could have done with anybody but them to try & get a run going.

I wonder how we will contrive to lose to Crewe?

To be honest my enthusiasm for this season has taken a dive and I just don't see us getting out of trouble.

I do expect us to get a few odd wins here and there because the squad is definitely better than our position but as soon as someone puts jpressure on they fold.
