Kanté or Dier? Next poll is a triple choice extravaganza for the three attacking midfielders. Nominations for that please.

Poll open until Monday. Do your thing.

I can't choose. I just can't do it.

EDIT: Went for Dier. He's English and that was my decider.

Kanté easily, he's the modern day Makelele going by how he's played this season. The last time a holding man performed to a level he has this season was Tiote and Newcastle had a great season that year. It's an important role. Matic turned Chelsea around too.

Why is Cabaye on the list?

Kante is more box to box than a holding midfielder really. That'll be the PED's at work.

Why is Cabaye on the list?

Statistically very good, the 4th best out and out CM in the league this season apparently.

I just chucked some names in for the last 4 tbh. It'll be a 2 horse race this.

Well the way he breaks up play etc. I want to referred to him as a holding man, but you get what I mean.

toure is nowhere near deserving of inclusion this season

still up there with the best in the division statistically. by his standards, i agree with you. not a great pool to choose from outside of 3 or 4 payers though. there's a huge gulf in performance/consistency.

Kanté, by a nose.

It's actually correct with one s, it's written wrong several places, but Spurs' Dembele spells it as Mousa Dembele.
While the Fulham striker (who might end up at Spurs and make it all very confusing), write his name as Moussa Dembele.

My suggestion for AM candidates:

Riyad Mahrez
Erik Lamela
Dele Alli
Christian Eriksen
Kevin De Bruyne
Mesut Özil

Alexis Sanchez
Dimitri Payet
Manuel Lanzini
Philippe Coutinho
Roberto Firmino
Marko Arnautovic
Willian
Ross Barkley
Gylfi Sigurdsson

wow the position with probably most candidates, difficult to cut it down.
I'll put absolutes in bold

Good to know. WC would have never got round to it anyway, he doesn't seem to do anything tbh.

Thanks for the nominations as always :2thumb:

The front 6 is inevitable. No need to poll. The team was done after the defenders.

Surman might look out of place, but he's been better than Cabaye I'd say! Theres been some daft fun little stat going through the season about completing more successful passes than Ozil or Fabregas. Not sure how up to date that is now, I last saw it in Feb. Not that it's particularly meaningful.

Kante for this, without doubt.

Agree with Kante.

I haven't seen much Bournemouth but I know that Cabaye seemed to really hit form at the start of the season while Surman doesn't seem to have done much, apparently he hasn't got an assist this season

I'm not sure you'd expect say Dier to rack up assists and goals though either, that's the role Surman plays (with widly mixed success depending on if the opposition are top half or bottom half/Southampton where he's usually super)

Cabaye hasn't been arsed half the time, as talented as he is.
