Would like to see Wealdstone and Bath come up, but Chelmsford have got to go up sometime!

I doubt that two of Welling, Dartford and Braintree will come up, so we should be looking at at least one if not two new names in the National League come this time next year.

We aint coming back up. Avoidance of dropping straight through is surely the aim. A half influential manager, a settled squad and a mid table finish, if we can achieve that.... happy days.

Don't bank on Chelmo joining in the promotion race next season. .. It depends how much dosh the new ownership is prepared to throw at the playing side. .. Particularly if they have plans to get away from playing in the middle of an athletics field, and re-locate next to the racecourse.

Darford and Wealdstone would be my favourites at the moment, and don't forget that Havantwatter are now full time with plenty of dosh splashing about.

Where did you see that?? Just did a quick google search and nothing is coming up about that.

Make that three! Havant have always splashed the cash around but this would be news to me.

As for us being considered one of the favourites - consider me unbelievably skeptical. GB said this side needed tinkering whilst I think we need a massive overhaul. I'm sure there's a few players he's casting his eye over (no reason we can't get Jerome Okimo back who would be a massive upgrade at left back) but as the Stones supporter on Nomads said, opinion is split on him as to whether or not he's the man to get us promoted.

Inih Effiong will be on his way to Conference South after he got released from us - big London-based striker that we picked up in January, just couldn't force his way in, and looked a bit raw. Should excel at this level though.

Sorry if I got my knickers in a twist chaps, I'm sure I saw something at the start of the past season that H & W were going full time despite being relegated, but I am a trifle senile and may have misread something.

Anyway, they have been chucking plenty of dosh about (you don't win the Isthmian prem on a peanuts budget).

I still stand by my earlier prediction that they will be challenging around the top of the table in the coming season.

Well we've had a shit 24 hours. Top scorer Luke Hopper is off to Hungerford for mega bucks a week and arguably the best keeper at this
level in Jas Singh is leaving as he's based in Wolverhampton. Oh and we play in fucking Evesham.

Hi everyone!

Jeez looking at that list I am so glad we didn't come down. Not meaning to come across as disrespectful but it would have been awful. Chances are we'll probably be here in 12 months anyway.

Makes a lot of sense that Gloucester are in this league too - found it strange that they were classed as North!

As much as I hated it, there are some decent away days in this division. Bath, St Albans and Weston spring to mind immediately (I missed Poole, unfortunately), but for those three you also have Concord, East Thurrock and fucking Shitehawk!

Hi everyone!

Give over! Hungerford, just like two thirds of the league claim to have the lowest budget.

Yep. The amount of match previews I read before our games stating our opposition had the lowest budget in the league is astounding.

Nikki Bull's account of his time at Margate really is a great read. Its quite the eye opener into how much of a mess that club really was.

https://footbullworld.com/2017/05/16/my-time-at-margate-where-do-i-start/

Was just about to post this myself. Really feel for the guy. I knew things were bad there, but I didn't imagine it was ever this bad!

The former Enfield Manager Bradley Quinton has taken the managerial vacancy at Braintree
Got to get used to posting on this forum after our relegation. Great news that Brad is our new manager, he is Braintree through and through and played over 500 games for us before retiring. Has been the manager of Enfield in the Ryman Premier for 3 years and guided them to the playoffs this season before losing out to Dulwich. The black cloud hanging over us is turning silver as he was the fans favourite to get the job.

I see Bath have signed two of our ex-players - Anthony Straker and Darren Jones. Two cracking signings for this level, I expected both to be playing in our league next season.

Taylor Miles signs for Hemel Hempstead. He needs to get back to playing regularly after a write-off season here due to injury.
