Parkin meets Akinde.
Jazzi Barnum-Bobb meets Bondz N'Gala (great names)
... I can't think of any other match ups.

Would like to see Campbell-Ryce in some form and very interested to see how Randall does.

Of course I must predict a loss - 2-1. Akinde (Pen) for us. Food shortage hits the stadium 10 mins after Parkin is subbed.

Hoping we can continue to maintain our 100% league record against Newport County. I wonder how Randall will look against us? He had a good touch and a vision of passing that none of our central midfielders had but all too often he was on the periphery of the action.

Randall doing well so far. Heavily involved in most games. Sometimes dwells on the ball too long when a simple pass is on. Filled the hole left by Byrne's departure. Bout time we gave Barnet a good pasting - will go with 4 - 1, new boy Healey, Parkin, Rigg and Compton with the goals. Is Stephens fit ?

Good to see Byrner thriving at a higher level too.

John Akinde scores again, would love to know why no ones taken him off Barnet yet.

Absolute disgrace.
Agreed the weather was bad but how can a league club not cope with half a days rain? The groundsman did nothing before the game. Forecast showed heavy rain all day so why not prepare the pitch?
Long trip home and gutted I will probably miss the replay as it will be midweek

Saw this was abandoned which came as a bit of a surprise to me. Yeah I know it was raining heavily but still. Feel sorry for those Bees who went all the way there only to witness an abandoned match. I know what it feels like - a long horrible journey back home.

Really feel for the Barnet fans. Like it's not tough enough motivating yourselves for a trip to Newport, you get a goal to the good and then find it's all for nothing. Fair play to those that made the effort though, could hear you from the Hazell which can't be said of every side's support. Very unfortunate for everyone.

I think it was the right decision to call it off today but do fear for the pitch come winter - it is a constant battle it feels...

I thought we were playing alright aside from the customary head-start to the opposition - Grego-Cox looked sharp. Our defence terrifies me.

Bet you were crying out for the ref that did our swimming pool game back in the conference Urban!

I called him up at halftime but he had my number blocked... I think I may have left him too many voicemails calling him a fuckhead since that brilliant day...

The Braintree of League 2.
I remember Rochdale used to have this problem with their pitch, did they get it resolved?

Newport should let Barnet walk the ball into the net in the 1st minute of the replayed match. It's their fault for having a shitty pitch that can't handle a tiny bit of rain.
