I saw the 60's series for the first time in the 80's when it was shown complete in Germany. Although outdated and silly I really liked it
(a few years ago I even bought the complete series when it was published on blu-ray)

I was a little lad watching it in the late 60's it was my favourite show back then. Some of the dialogue seems silly nowadays my main memory was Robin saying "Holy Broken bones Batman"

...in the German synchronised version Robin sometimes said "Heiliges Kanonenrohr" (maybe: Holy cannoli ). He uses some other words too but always with a "Heiliges (Holy)" at the beginning.Always good for a laugh was their "climbing" (they turned the camera for 90°
) and then suddenly a guest star popped out of the window.Found all the cameos of this at youtube:

Holy Geriatric, was he that old..?
The Adam West Batman series was well before my time so I have no great affinity with it. The episodes I have seen on retro TV seem somewhat camp but nonetheless entertaining for that. None of the darkness or psycho babble of the movie franchises. Just unselfconsciously cheesy entertainment with nobody trying to big it up to more than it should be.
It's sad he's no longer with us but it seems he had a good long life and has clearly left a lot of happy memories. Wouldn't we all want to go out like that..?
