A fairly clear depiction of the difference in money between the Championship and League One, as Luton's 298k is the lowest spend in the Championship, while only Coventry, Ipswich and Sunderland exceed that in League One (and bear in mind that the period measured runs from February 2019 so includes a time when Luton were in L1 and Ipswich were in the Championship).

If you only include teams that didn't change divisions during that period then the drop from the Championship to L1 is a lot steeper than any of the other transitions between divisions with Sunderland being a singular (and predictable) outlier.

Macclesfield, Crawley, Oldham and Crewe must do better.

Big difference between top and bottom payers in the figures. I wonder if it represents a different policy or a lack of activity?

Can’t recall the exact figure of ours last season, but I’m sure it was in excess of £300k. We still have the highest in the league this season, but it’s not unusual for Bradford City A.F.C to have their pants pulled down.
