We need to bounce back after Saturday’s loss but this isn’t an ideal game to do that considering Crewe have a great home record of late, so we’ll need to be on our game to get anything.

I’m anticipating a few changes, hopefully Lee Martin and Jonathan Forte will be back plus I’d be keen to see some of the younger loanees get a start such as Kane and Donovan Wilson.

Last season we scored 2 injury time goals to steal a win but Crewe were struggling then whereas they may be an outside bet for the play offs if they keep their form going so it’s going to be tough.

I think this may be a 1-1 or a 2-1 loss.

Can’t take this play-off talk too seriously as the gap hasn’t closed much in a few weeks now. It’d take an absolutely epic run to close a six point gap at this stage. I’d just be delighted if we can consolidate in the top 10.

We were pants on Saturday at Oldham without being battered but home games are a different thing altogether. Some witchcraft has made it virtually impossible for visiting teams to win at Gresty Road right now. A defeat would be a shock to the system, I think the team and fans turn up at GR expecting a win now.

Would like to see Artell start changing the team now. Can’t argue that it’s a winning formula, seven unbeaten. But Harry Pickering has been poor, partially at fault for a lot of goals recently with Oldham seemingly targetting him as a weak point, and we have decent players waiting to come in. We can’t keep giving teams absolute gifts, it needs addressing.

Can’t see us losing at home at the moment (famous last words). Score draw. Or win. Maybe 0-0.

Another tough game. Given the run of home games we have after this one(16th, 17th, 19th, 24th, 22nd), yet again I'm left saying I'd take a point. But on the other hand, we've beaten the teams in 1st, 6th and 7th since Christmas, so I see no reason why we can't beat the team in 8th.

Like Timey said, the play-offs are a long shot at best. Mid-table would do for me, see no reason why we can't finish in the top half, would make for a more than acceptable season. Shake hands on a 1-1 now?

We always seem to step it up against sides who are top of the league, so I'm hoping it will be another great game. It's the sides towards the bottom we don't seem to turn up against. Looking forward to the visit of Exeter this weekend, I will be making the trip from Manchester.

It's been a fair few years since we had a decent home record in one season. A big loss will be a shock to the system, so it will take some character to bounce back but agree, I think we are due a couple of changes... would love to see the full-back from Scotland given a start and bringing Pickering into midfield, even if it's an appearance from the bench.

Also read that Crewe are finally acknowledging that they need to drag themselves into the 21st century by introducing a scoreboard!!!

Looking forward to this. Going to the West Ham game on Friday night, then Crewe on Saturday. Going to have a night out in Chester afterwards which should be interesting.

This is definitely the big story of the season tbf.

I enjoyed the quote from last night about us looking at moving into the 21st century. Only at Crewe is the reaction 19 years off the pace.

I think we’ll go with something like Oldham. Electronic advertising boards that incorporate a scoreboard section. #scoreboardgossip

Be interested to see the financial viability of this. Like, how much it would cost to install and maintain as opposed to the money that could be brought in through advertising and sponsorships etc.

Personally, I'd rather they spent the hundreds of thousands of pounds it would cost to get one on other things the club needs.

I doubt it’ll be in the hundreds of thousands. I think the fans expecting a ultra HD screen filling the corner where the clock is are likely to be disappointed. A few off the shelf electronic advertising hoardings probably the best we can hope for, an old school score board like Vale’s more likely but less useful and profitable. I suspect though that it will depend on finding a sponsor, or series of sponsors, to stump up the money for the initial purchase seeing as we are constantly told we haven’t a pot to piss in.

Sure our scoreboard was £70 grand (Must be 10-15 years ago that too) all be it we didn't pay for it. Ours isn't too bad as it plays videos now but just too small for doing it!

We need to be much better than we were against Bury to get anything here. With Lincoln on Tuesday it's another two tough games. I'll be happy with a point just to keep us in the mix. Should be a good turnout from the fans though if nothing else

God I hate playing Exeter. 6 meetings, 5 straight defeats. Could you kindly fuck off into League One so we don't have to lose to you next season please?

Yeah fine by us!

Really impressive win considering we were missing Law, Martin and Boateng from the midfield. I was really concerned to hear Matt Jay was starting but he had a great game and scored a decent winner.

Crewe pushed us hard in the second half and the game probably could’ve gone either way, so delighted with the win.

Onto Lincoln now on Tuesday which is another huge game to try and cut the gap to the top 3.

A really dull game where we huffed and puffed but it was all a little flat. Add in the usual defensive calamity. Exeter were solid and organised, stifled the game of all pace and excitement and we showed nothing to break them down.

Pushing our luck with this 11. Should have mixed it up before Oldham.

I thought both sides were a bit sloppy and neither created much.
There was not much difference between the two sides, both resorting to aimless long balls way too often.

The brief moment of individual magic from Matt Jay was the highlight of the game which otherwise lacked quality.

First time I've been to crewe. Really enjoyed it. Very easy to get to, pub nearby was a lot of fun. Went for a night out in Chester afterwards which was quality. Only vommed twice. :10:

Haha, misread your post and thought you meant the first time you've been to the town of Crewe.

Thats a very different experience and I almost did a double take.
