Any interest in starting a L2 prediction league?

I got no reply from admin, but it seems clear to me they won't be running a prediction league this year, so I guess this means we're free to start one ourselves.

I was thinking that should we go ahead and start one, then we keep it as simple as possible. No naps or goalscorers or anything like that, just predicting the score of all L2 matches, with 3 points for a correct score and 1 point for a correct result.

Since I'll be running the non-league prediction league once again this year, I don't know if I'll be able to run this too. I mean I can give it a try but if anyone wants to take over this then please do feel free.

So, any interest?

ps - note to mods/admin - please delete this thread if we're not allowed to start our own league.

Frealaf,

We've been through this already. We've got quite a few rivalries going on this year, with Grimsby/Lincoln and Stags/Chesterfield being the biggest ones, so no I don't want to trawl through a whole match thread with 80% of posts coming from fans of said clubs. It's a given that as soon as Lincoln slip up in one of their matches, then you'd have the Grimsby fans taunting their fans and vise versa. And likewise with the other footy rivalries, which I don't mind tbh, it's all just #bantz.

Plus of course, it's all fine skipping posts when you're sat at home in front of your pc and 21" monitor, but not when you're at the football match trying to trawl through 60 posts with some 4" smart phone.

A single match thread will only work for those clubs who are, with all due respect, not that well represented on here. The likes of Crawley/Morecambe/Cheltenham/Newport/Stanley, as it is almost useless for a fan of say Crawley to start a thread on their upcoming clash with Accy.

Vanni, we've been through this already, nobody has said we can't have individual match threads as well for games that Warrant them.

Secondly I only ever read this forum on my phone even at home and with the stupid full page adverts at every new post, doesn't stop me reading several pages of posts
